media: tuners: add SPDX identifiers to the code I wrote As we're now using SPDX identifiers, on the several media drivers I wrote, add the proper SPDX, identifying the license I meant. As we're now using the short license, it doesn't make sense to keep the original license text. Also, fix MODULE_LICENSE to properly identify GPL v2. V4L/DVB (7651): tuner-xc2028: Several fixes to SCODE This patch fixes several issues on SCODE: 1) The extracting tool weren't generating the proper tags for SCODE. This has almost no effect, since those tags shouldn't be used; 2) DIBCOM52 were using a wrong IF. It should be 5200, instead of 5700; 3) seek_firmware were wanting an exact match for firmware type. This is wrong. As result, no SCODE firmware were loaded; 4) A few files were including the wrong file for seeking demod firmwares; 5) XC3028_FE_DEFAULT can be used, if user doesn't want to load a firmware. V4L/DVB (6646): xc2028: rework firmware (re)loading process Define a list of valid "firmware types" for each combination of BASE, DTV and SCODEs. By masking the appropriate firmware bits off we can just use one "type" for the firmware searching and also flag when we are looking for a BASE, DTV or SCODE type firmware. This makes it much easier to track if we need to change device modes or flash an individual firmware part. Add a structure to remember what firmware properties we have. This contains the currently loaded/wanted base firmware (type), video std (id), video std requested (std_req), scode file and number in use. Incorporate said structure into the tuner private data. When checking whether the current firmware needs to be reloaded, first figure out exactly what "type" of firmware we want (base, std and scode), and then proceed to load the appropriate matching base, std-specific and scode records iff there are any changes required. This removes guesswork from the process because we no longer need to individually code a check for every tuning parameter's interactions. V4L/DVB (6855): xc2028: select DTV78 firmware if tuning 7MHz VHF / 8MHz UHF It seems that the DTV78 firmware is intended for use in locations where VHF channels have 7MHz bandwidth and UHF channels have 8MHz bandwidth. If we switch to DTV78 firmware when we detect this condition, we can avoid firmware reloads when switching between VHF and UHF transponders. Place the state for this in the control structure so that card drivers can hint to us to use DTV78 firmware from the first tuning attempt. V4L/DVB (12394): cx88: Disable xc3028 power management for Geniatech x8000 A user discovered that the Geniatech x8000 encountered a regression when the xc3028 power management was introduced. The xc3028 never recovers after setting the powerdown register, which is probably because the xc3028 reset GPIO is not properly configured. Since I do not have access to the hardware and thus cannot determine the correct GPIO configuration, just disable xc3028 power management on this board, which fixes the regression. Some devices like the tm6000 seem to require this to properly flush the I2C buffers. However this cannot work if the modules that get called are loadable and the core is built-in. In that case we get drivers/built-in.o: In function `set_type': drivers/media/v4l2-core/tuner-core.c:301: undefined reference to `tea5767_attach' drivers/media/v4l2-core/tuner-core.c:307: undefined reference to `tea5761_attach' drivers/media/v4l2-core/tuner-core.c:349: undefined reference to `tda9887_attach' drivers/media/v4l2-core/tuner-core.c:405: undefined reference to `xc4000_attach' This was working previously, until the IS_ENABLED() macro was used to replace the construct like #if defined(CONFIG_DVB_CX24110) || (defined(CONFIG_DVB_CX24110_MODULE) && defined(MODULE)) with the difference that the new code no longer checks whether it is being built as a loadable module itself. To fix this, this new patch adds an 'IS_REACHABLE' macro, which evaluates true in exactly the condition that was used previously. The downside of this is that this trades an obvious link error for a more subtle runtime failure, but it is clear that the change that introduced the link error was unintentional and it seems better to revert it for now. Also, a similar change was originally created by Trent Piepho and then reverted by teh change to the IS_ENABLED macro. Ideally Kconfig would be used to avoid the case of a broken dependency, or the code restructured in a way to turn around the dependency, but either way would require much larger changes here.
