A break interrupt will be generated if the RX line was pulled low, which
means some abnomal behaviors occurred of the UART. In this case, we still
need to clear this break interrupt status, otherwise it will cause irq
storm to crash the whole system.

The sequence of arguments which was passed to handle_lsr_errors() didn't
match the parameters defined in that function, &lsr was passed to flag
and &flag was passed to lsr, this patch fixed that.

The sprd serial console can work with only 26M fixed clock,
but the probe() is returning fail if the clock "enable" is not
configured in device tree.
This patch will fix the problem to let the uart device which is
used for console can be initialized even missing "enable" clock
configured in devicetree. We should make sure the debug function
as available as we can.

Use console_initcall to save the console index we selected on the
command line to sprd_console before probe finished. Thus we can
make different processes to the uart devices during initialization
according to whether it is used for console.

When calling sprd_console_setup(), sprd_uart_port probably is NULL,
we should check that first instead of checking its items directly.
Also we should check membase to avoid accessing uart device before
its initialization finished.

We don't need dev_err() messages when platform_get_irq() fails now that
platform_get_irq() prints an error message itself when something goes
wrong. Let's remove these prints with a simple semantic patch.

When the source clock is not divisible by the expected baud rate and
the remainder is not less than half of the expected baud rate, the old
formular will round up the frequency division coefficient. This will
make the actual baud rate less than the expected value and can not meet
the external transmission requirements.
Thus this patch modifies the baud rate calculation formula to support
the serial controller output the maximum baud rate.

Now that the SPDX tag is in all tty files, that identifies the license
in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording
can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.
This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.
No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.

It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.
Update the drivers/tty files files with the correct SPDX license
identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX
identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of
the full boiler plate text.

platform_get_irq() returns an error code, but the sprd_serial driver
ignores it and always returns -ENODEV. This is not correct and,
prevents -EPROBE_DEFER from being propagated properly.
Also, notice that platform_get_irq() no longer returns 0 on error:

On Spreadtrum's serial device, nearly all of interrupts would be cleared
by hardware except timeout interrupt. This patch removed the operation
of clearing all interrupt in irq handler, instead added an if statement
to check if the timeout interrupt is supposed to be cleared.
Wrongly clearing timeout interrupt would lead to uart data stay in rx
fifo, that means the driver cannot read them out anymore.

Most users of IS_ERR_VALUE() in the kernel are wrong, as they
pass an 'int' into a function that takes an 'unsigned long'
argument. This happens to work because the type is sign-extended
on 64-bit architectures before it gets converted into an
unsigned type.
However, anything that passes an 'unsigned short' or 'unsigned int'
argument into IS_ERR_VALUE() is guaranteed to be broken, as are
8-bit integers and types that are wider than 'unsigned long'.
Andrzej Hajda has already fixed a lot of the worst abusers that
were causing actual bugs, but it would be nice to prevent any
users that are not passing 'unsigned long' arguments.
This patch changes all users of IS_ERR_VALUE() that I could find
on 32-bit ARM randconfig builds and x86 allmodconfig. For the
moment, this doesn't change the definition of IS_ERR_VALUE()
because there are probably still architecture specific users
elsewhere.
Almost all the warnings I got are for files that are better off
using 'if (err)' or 'if (err < 0)'.
The only legitimate user I could find that we get a warning for
is the (32-bit only) freescale fman driver, so I did not remove
the IS_ERR_VALUE() there but changed the type to 'unsigned long'.
For 9pfs, I just worked around one user whose calling conventions
are so obscure that I did not dare change the behavior.
I was using this definition for testing:

which ends up making all 16-bit or wider types work correctly with
the most plausible interpretation of what IS_ERR_VALUE() was supposed
to return according to its users, but also causes a compile-time
warning for any users that do not pass an 'unsigned long' argument.
I suggested this approach earlier this year, but back then we ended
up deciding to just fix the users that are obviously broken. After
the initial warning that caused me to get involved in the discussion
(fs/gfs2/dir.c) showed up again in the mainline kernel, Linus
asked me to send the whole thing again.

Use a single common table of struct earlycon_id for both command line
and devicetree. Re-define OF_EARLYCON_DECLARE() macro to instance a
unique earlycon declaration (the declaration is only guaranteed to be
unique within a compilation unit; separate compilation units must still
use unique earlycon names).
The semantics of OF_EARLYCON_DECLARE() is different; it declares an
earlycon which can matched either on the command line or by devicetree.
EARLYCON_DECLARE() is semantically unchanged; it declares an earlycon
which is matched by command line only. Remove redundant instances of
EARLYCON_DECLARE().
This enables all earlycons to properly initialize struct console
with the appropriate name and index, which improves diagnostics and
enables direct earlycon-to-console handoff.
