MLK-23349-1 usb: chipidea: otg: delete duplicate code
After below code:
		if (role == CI_ROLE_GADGET)
			ci_handle_vbus_change(ci);

It has already handled the VBUS event in suspend for device mode.

In fact, it just reverts 5f59266728 ("MLK-12344-1 usb: chipidea:
otg: add vbus connect for gadget after sleep"), but git refuses
to revert this commit, so we it with a new patch.

Peter Chen cebd6f46dd MLK-14396 usb: chipidea: add mutex for concurrent running
The ci_handle_id_switch is called at two places, at very rare situations,
it may be running at the same time. Eg, when the system is back from
the resume, the id event is occurred from extcon driver, as well as
power_lost work item is called due to the controller is poweroff at
the suspend.

During system sleep, if we switch otg role from gadget to host, and host
vbus is directly controlled by ID signal, we will lose vbus drop event
after resume because the vbus is on both at system suspend and resume, so
we will miss gadget disconnect handling before start host role. This patch
is to fix it by adding gadget disconnect for this case.

for gadget so enumeration will not happen. This patch is to fix it by

Li Jun fa30097131 MLK-10102-7 usb: chipidea: otg: fix deadlock of usb host removal after system resume
This is to fix possible deadlock of usb host with mass storage removal after
system resume, by waiting host finish device disconnection and then stop host
This is a patch merge for ideas from below 2 patches:
ENGR00308442-2 usb: chipidea: otg: wait devices disconnected before stop host.
ENGR00310498 usb: chipidea: otg: fix otg role switch from host to device failure

How to reproduce:
Failure case 1:
- Enable console wakeup:
  echo enabled > /sys/class/tty/ttymxc0/power/wakeup
- Connect a udisk with ID cable to OTG port.
- Suspend the system:
  ehco mem > /sys/power/state
- Remove ID cable together with udisk.
- Wakeup the system by console.
- OTG port cannot switch to device role.
Failure case 2:
- Connect a udisk with ID cable to OTG port.
- Enable usb wakeup by ./low_power_usb.sh
- Suspend the system:
  ehco mem > /sys/power/state
- Remove ID cable together with udisk.
- System wakeup but OTG port cannot switch to device role.

Root cause:
In this case, ID change interrupt generates before port change interrupt,
so with irq disabled, ci_handle_id_switch() will find there is usb device
still connected and wait it to disconnect by sleep, but disconnect will not
happen since usb irq still disabled so port change irq has no chance to be
handled.

How this patch is fixing this issue:
This patch waits host finish handle usb device disconnection before stop host,
and enables irq before sleep and disables irq after, thus port change
rq can be handled and usb device disconnection can timely happen, then
ci_handle_id_switch() can stop host and switch to device role correctly.

Greg Kroah-Hartman 51b751f112 USB: chipidea: Remove redundant license text
Now that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the license
in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording
can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.

This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.

No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.

Greg Kroah-Hartman 5fd54ace47 USB: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/usb/
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.

Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correct
SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself.
The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used
instead of the full boiler plate text.

Peter Chen c3b674a04b usb: chipidea: vbus event may exist before starting gadget
At some situations, the vbus may already be there before starting
gadget. So we need to check vbus event after switching to gadget in
order to handle missing vbus event. The typical use cases are plugging
vbus cable before driver load or the vbus has already been there
after stopping host but before starting gadget.

The two extcon notifiers are almost the same except for the
variable name for the cable structure and the id notifier inverts
the cable->state logic. Make it the same and replace two

the id cable state is true when the id pin is pulled low, so we
change the name of ->state to ->connected to properly reflect
that we're interested in the cable being connected.

Stephen Boyd a89b94b533 usb: chipidea: Handle extcon events properly
We're currently emulating the vbus and id interrupts in the OTGSC
read API, but we also need to make sure that if we're handling
the events with extcon that we don't enable the interrupts for
those events in the hardware. Therefore, properly emulate this
register if we're using extcon, but don't enable the interrupts.
This allows me to get my cable connect/disconnect working
properly without getting spurious interrupts on my device that
uses an extcon for these two events.

With the id and vbus detection done via extcon we need to make
sure we poll the status of OTGSC properly by considering what the
extcon is saying, and not just what the register is saying. Let's
move this hw_wait_reg() function to the only place it's used and
simplify it for polling the OTGSC register. Then we can make
certain we only use the hw_read_otgsc() API to read OTGSC, which
will make sure we properly handle extcon events.

Peter Chen d144dfea8a usb: chipidea: otg: change workqueue ci_otg as freezable
If we use USB ID pin as wakeup source, and there is a USB block
device on this USB OTG (ID) cable, the system will be deadlock
after system resume.

The root cause for this problem is: the workqueue ci_otg may try
to remove hcd before the driver resume has finished, and hcd will
disconnect the device on it, then, it will call device_release_driver,
and holds the device lock "dev->mutex", but it is never unlocked since
it waits workqueue writeback to run to flush the block information, but
the workqueue writeback is freezable, it is not thawed before driver
resume has finished.

When the driver (device: sd 0:0:0:0:) resume goes to dpm_complete, it
tries to get its device lock "dev->mutex", but it can't get it forever,
then the deadlock occurs. Below call stacks show the situation.

So, in order to fix this problem, we need to change workqueue ci_otg
as freezable, then the work item in this workqueue will be run after
driver's resume, this workqueue will not be blocked forever like above
case since the workqueue writeback has been thawed too.

Tested at: i.mx6qdl-sabresd and i.mx6sx-sdb.

Li Jun 851ce93224 usb: chipidea: otg: don't wait vbus drops below BSV when starts host
Some HW design may use ID pin state to control vbus for otg port,
so before host role start, the vbus is already turned on, in this
case, we do not need wait vbus dropping below BSV.

Peter Chen 22fa84455a usb: chipidea: add wait vbus lower than OTGSC_BSV before role starts
When the gadget role starts, we need to make sure the vbus is lower
than OTGSC_BSV, or there will be an vbus interrupt since we use
B_SESSION_VALID as vbus interrupt to indicate connect and disconnect.
When the host role starts, it may not be useful to wait vbus to lower
than OTGSC_BSV, but it can indicate some hardware problems like the
vbus is still higher than OTGSC_BSV after we disconnect to host some
time later (5000 milliseconds currently), which is obvious not correct.

Peter Chen a107f8c505 usb: chipidea: add vbus interrupt handler
We add vbus interrupt handler at ci_otg_work, it uses OTGSC_BSV(at otgsc)
to know it is connect or disconnet event.
Meanwhile, we introduce two flags id_event and b_sess_valid_event to
indicate it is an id interrupt or a vbus interrupt.
