As part of the W=1 cleanups for ethernet, a million [*] driver
comments had to be cleaned up to get the W=1 compilation to
succeed. This change finally makes the drivers/net/ethernet tree
compile with W=1 set on the command line. NOTE: The kernel uses
kdoc style (see Documentation/process/kernel-doc.rst) when
documenting code, not doxygen or other styles.
After this patch the x86_64 build has no warnings from W=1, however
scripts/kernel-doc says there are 1545 more warnings in source files, that
I need to develop a script to fix in a followup patch.
The errors fixed here are all kdoc of a few classes, with a few outliers:

It's nice if the phy is online before we register the netdev
so try to do that first.
Stop trying to do "second tried" to register the phy, it
works perfectly fine the first time.
Stop remvoving the phy in uninit. Remove it when the
driver is remove():d, symmetric to where it is added, in
probe().

We recently added some calls to clk_disable_unprepare() but we missed
the last error path if register_netdev() fails.
I made a couple cleanups so we avoid mistakes like this in the future.
First I reversed the "if (!ret)" condition and pulled the code in one
indent level. Also, the "port->netdev = NULL;" is not required because
"port" isn't used again outside this function so I deleted that line.

Since commit 84af7a6194 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over
'---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually
decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances.
This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines,
I also fixed the indentation.
There are a variety of indentation styles found.
a) 4 spaces + '---help---'
b) 7 spaces + '---help---'
c) 8 spaces + '---help---'
d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---'
e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation)

In the implementation of gmac_setup_txqs() the allocated desc_ring is
leaked if TX queue base is not aligned. Release it via
dma_free_coherent.

We don't need dev_err() messages when platform_get_irq() fails now that
platform_get_irq() prints an error message itself when something goes
wrong. Let's remove these prints with a simple semantic patch.

Many Ethernet MAC drivers want to limit the PHY to only advertise a
maximum speed of 100Mbs or 1Gbps. Rather than using a mask, make use
of the helper function phy_set_max_speed().

The hardware supposedly handles frames up to 10236 bytes and
implements .ndo_change_mtu() so accept 10236 minus the ethernet
header for a VLAN tagged frame on the netdevices. Use
ETH_MIN_MTU as minimum MTU.

The initialization sequence for the ethernet, setting up
interrupt routing and such things, need to be done after
both the ports are clocked and reset. Before this the
config will not "take". Move the initialization to the
port probe function and keep track of init status in
the state.

The code was not tested with two ports actually in use at
the same time. (I blame this on lack of actual hardware using
that feature.) Now after locating a system using both ports,
add necessary fix to make both ports come up.

Switch over to using a module parameter and debug prints
that can be controlled by this or ethtool like everyone
else. Depromote all other prints to debug messages.
The phy_print_status() was already in place, albeit never
really used because the debuglevel hiding it had to be
set up using ethtool.

The code to calculate the hardware register enumerator
for the maximum L3 length isn't entirely simple to read.
Use the existing defines and rewrite the function into a
table look-up.

The zeroday builder notices that since Usermode Linux does not
have IO memory, the build fails for them when selecting everything
it can enable.
As the driver is clearly using memory-mapped registers to access
the network adapter, we add depends on HAS_IOMEM to solve this
problem.

The Gemini ethernet has been around for years as an out-of-tree
patch used with the NAS boxen and routers built on StorLink
SL3512 and SL3516, later Storm Semiconductor, later Cortina
Systems. These ASICs are still being deployed and brand new
off-the-shelf systems using it can easily be acquired.
The full name of the IP block is "Net Engine and Gigabit
Ethernet MAC" commonly just called "GMAC".
The hardware block contains a common TCP Offload Enginer (TOE)
that can be used by both MACs. The current driver does not use
it.
