Ralf Baechle 7c8196fd43 MIPS: MSP71xx: Use __flush_cache_all instead of flush_cache_all.
Flushing caches is probably sensible on reset but flush_cache_all has been
a no-op for a very long time.

Ralf Baechle ec7b97208a MIPS: Fix build error due to unused variables.
c861519fcf ("MIPS: Fix delay loops which may
be removed by GCC.") which made it upstream was an outdated version of the
patch and is lacking some the removal of two variables that became unused
thus resulting in further warnings and build breakage. The commit
from ae878615d7cee5d7346946cf1ae1b60e427013c2 was correct however.

Ralf Baechle c861519fcf MIPS: Fix delay loops which may be removed by GCC.
GCC 4.1 and newer remove empty loops. This becomes a problem when delay
loops get removed. Fixed by rewriting to user the proper Linux interface
for such delays.

Ralf Baechle b633648c5a MIPS: MT: Remove SMTC support
Nobody is maintaining SMTC anymore and there also seems to be no userbase.
Which is a pity - the SMTC technology primarily developed by Kevin D.
Kissell <kevink@paralogos.com> is an ingenious demonstration for the MT
ASE's power and elegance.

Based on Markos Chandras <Markos.Chandras@imgtec.com> patch
https://patchwork.linux-mips.org/patch/6719/ which while very similar did
no longer apply cleanly when I tried to merge it plus some additional
post-SMTC cleanup - SMTC was a feature as tricky to remove as it was to
merge once upon a time.

Paul Bolle 261cbc97ab MIPS: Remove CONFIG_PMCTWILED completely
Commit 8b284dbc22 ("MIPS: PNX Removing dead CONFIG_PMCTWILED") missed
one reference to CONFIG_PMCTWILED in the code. It also missed one
related reference to pmctwiled_setup(). Remove these references now.

Ralf Baechle a809d46066 MIPS: Fix gigaton of warning building with microMIPS.
With binutils 2.24 the attempt to switch with microMIPS mode to MIPS III
mode through .set mips3 results in *lots* of warnings like

{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:397: Warning: the 64-bit MIPS architecture does not support the `smartmips' extension

during a kernel build. Fixed by using .set arch=r4000 instead.

This breaks support for building the kernel with binutils 2.13 which
was supported for 32 bit kernels only anyway and 2.14 which was a bad
vintage for MIPS anyway.

Ralf Baechle 0f3a05cb43 MIPS: MSP71xx: Move code.
Now that Yosemite's gone we can move the MSP71xx code one level up.

Shane McDonald <mcdonald.shane@gmail.com>'s
https://patchwork.linux-mips.org/patch/4736/ has been folded into this
patch.
