Alexander Lobakin 5926149184 qed: suppress false-positives interrupt error messages on HW init
[ Upstream commit eb61c2d699 ]

It was found that qed_pglueb_rbc_attn_handler() can produce a lot of
false-positive error detections on driver load/reload (especially after
crashes/recoveries) and spam the kernel log:

Sudarsana Reddy Kalluru f277e0be69 qed: Populate nvm-file attributes while reading nvm config partition.
[ Upstream commit 13cf8aab74 ]

NVM config file address will be modified when the MBI image is upgraded.

Alexander Lobakin 32cf4ff4ec net: qed: fix NVMe login fails over VFs
[ Upstream commit ccd7c7ce16 ]

25ms sleep cycles in waiting for PF response are excessive and may lead
to different timeout failures.

Start to wait with short udelays, and in most cases polling will end
here. If the time was not sufficient, switch to msleeps.
usleep_range() may go far beyond 100us depending on platform and tick
configuration, hence atomic udelays for consistency.

Also add explicit DMA barriers since 'done' always comes from a shared
request-response DMA pool, and note that in the comment nearby.

Yuval Basson 93af898b25 qed: Fix use after free in qed_chain_free
commit 8063f761cd upstream.

The qed_chain data structure was modified in
commit 1a4a69751f ("qed: Chain support for external PBL") to support
receiving an external pbl (due to iWARP FW requirements).
The pages pointed to by the pbl are allocated in qed_chain_alloc
and their virtual address are stored in an virtual addresses array to
enable accessing and freeing the data. The physical addresses however
weren't stored and were accessed directly from the external-pbl
during free.

Destroy-qp flow, leads to freeing the external pbl before the chain is
freed, when the chain is freed it tries accessing the already freed
external pbl, leading to a use-after-free. Therefore we need to store
the physical addresses in additional to the virtual addresses in a
new data structure.

commit 3b85720d3f upstream.

Calling queue_delayed_work concurrently with

scheduled task after wq is destroyed or other resources
(like ptt_pool) are freed (yields NULL pointer dereference).

Sudarsana Reddy Kalluru c63b096894 qed: Optimize execution time for nvm attributes configuration.
Current implementation for nvm_attr configuration instructs the management
FW to load/unload the nvm-cfg image for each user-provided attribute in
the input file. This consumes lot of cycles even for few tens of
attributes.
This patch updates the implementation to perform load/commit of the config
for every 50 attributes. After loading the nvm-image, MFW expects that
config should be committed in a predefined timer value (5 sec), hence it's
not possible to write large number of attributes in a single load/commit
window. Hence performing the commits in chunks.

Sudarsana Reddy Kalluru 0dabbe1bb3 qed: Add driver API for flashing the config attributes.
The patch adds driver interface for reading the config attributes from user
provided buffer, and updates these values on nvm config flash partition.

This is basically an expansion of our existing ethtool -f implementation.
The management FW has exposed an additional method of configuring some of
the nvram options, and this makes use of that. This implementation will
come into use when newer FW files which contain configuration directives
employing this API will be provided to ethtool -f.

Wang Xiayang 3690c8c9a8 net/ethernet/qlogic/qed: force the string buffer NULL-terminated
strncpy() does not ensure NULL-termination when the input string
size equals to the destination buffer size 30.
The output string is passed to qed_int_deassertion_aeu_bit()
which calls DP_INFO() and relies NULL-termination.

Use strlcpy instead. The other conditional branch above strncpy()
needs no fix as snprintf() ensures NULL-termination.

This issue is identified by a Coccinelle script.

Arnd Bergmann 7c116e02a4 qed: reduce maximum stack frame size
clang warns about an overly large stack frame in one function
when it decides to inline all __qed_get_vport_*() functions into
__qed_get_vport_stats():

drivers/net/ethernet/qlogic/qed/qed_l2.c:1889:13: error: stack frame size of 1128 bytes in function '_qed_get_vport_stats' [-Werror,-Wframe-larger-than=]

Use a noinline_for_stack annotation to prevent clang from inlining
these, which keeps the maximum stack usage at around half of that
in the worst case, similar to what we get with gcc.

Arnd Bergmann 815deee0e3 qed: Fix -Wmaybe-uninitialized false positive
A previous attempt to shut up the uninitialized variable use
warning was apparently insufficient. When CONFIG_PROFILE_ANNOTATED_BRANCHES
is set, gcc-8 still warns, because the unlikely() check in DP_NOTICE()
causes it to no longer track the state of all variables correctly:

drivers/net/ethernet/qlogic/qed/qed_dev.c: In function 'qed_llh_set_ppfid_affinity':
drivers/net/ethernet/qlogic/qed/qed_dev.c:798:47: error: 'abs_ppfid' may be used uninitialized in this function [-Werror=maybe-uninitialized]
  addr = NIG_REG_PPF_TO_ENGINE_SEL + abs_ppfid * 0x4;
                                     ~~~~~~~~~~^~~~~
This is not a nice workaround, but always initializing the output from
qed_llh_abs_ppfid() at least shuts up the false positive reliably.
