Hans Verkuil 861360a56d [media] videobuf: make unused exported functions static
The videobuf_dma_init* and videobuf_dma_map() functions are no longer
used except in videobuf-dma-sg.c itself. Make them static.

These functions were abused in various drivers. All those drivers
have now been fixed, so by no longer exporting these functions
future abuse is now prevented.

Hans Verkuil 42639f6de6 [media] pvrusb2: fix missing device_caps in querycap
The VIDIOC_QUERYCAP function should set device_caps, but this was missing.
In addition, it set the version field as well, but that should be done by
the core, not by the driver.

If a driver doesn't set device_caps the v4l2 core will issue a WARN_ON, so
it's important that this is set correctly.

Hans Verkuil 6cf11ee630 [media] vb2: fix vb2_thread_stop race conditions
The locking scheme inside the vb2 thread is unsafe when stopping the
thread. In particular kthread_stop was called *after* internal data
structures were cleaned up instead of doing that before. In addition,
internal vb2 functions were called after threadio->stop was set to
true and vb2_internal_streamoff was called. This is also not allowed.

All this led to a variety of race conditions and kernel warnings and/or
oopses.

Fixed by moving the kthread_stop call up before the cleanup takes
place, and by checking threadio->stop before calling internal vb2
queuing operations.

James Hogan 983c5bd26b [media] rc-main: Re-apply filter for no-op protocol change
Since commit da6e162d6a ("[media] rc-core: simplify sysfs code"), when
the IR protocol is set using the sysfs interface to the same set of
protocols that are already set, store_protocols() does not refresh the
scancode filter with the new protocol, even if it has already called the
change_protocol() callback successfully. This results in the filter
being disabled in the hardware and not re-enabled until the filter is
set again using sysfs.

Fix in store_protocols() by still re-applying the filter whenever the
change_protocol() driver callback succeeded.

The problem can be reproduced with the img-ir driver by setting a
filter, and then setting the protocol to the same protocol that is
already set:
$ echo nec > protocols
$ echo 0xffff > filter_mask
$ echo nec > protocols

After this, messages which don't match the filter were still being
received.

The old debug field is renamed to dev_debug to ensure that existing drivers
(including out-of-tree drivers) that try to use the old name will no longer
compile. A comment has also been added that makes it explicit that drivers
shouldn't use this field.

Additional bits have been added to the debug flag to be more fine-grained
when debugging, especially when dealing with streaming ioctls and read,
write and poll. You want to enable those explicitly to prevent flooding
the log when streaming unless you actually want to do that.

The UVC 1.5 spec[2] only defines GUIDs for YUY2, NV12, M420 and I420.
This seems to be an extension documented in the Microsoft Windows Media

Google gave when searching for the GUID. This Media Format SDK defines
this GUID as corresponding to `MEDIASUBTYPE_RGB24`. Note though, the
XI100DUSB outputs BGR e.g. byte-reversed. I don't know if its the
capture device in error or Microsoft mean BGR when they say RGB.

Linus Torvalds c0f486fde3 More ACPI and power management updates for 3.19-rc1

  - Drop the level of some new kernel messages from the ACPI core
introduced by a recent commit to KERN_DEBUG which they should
have used from the start and drop some other unuseful KERN_ERR

  - Revert an incorrect commit modifying the cpupower tool
    (Prarit Bhargava).

  - Fix two regressions introduced by recent commits in the OPP

    (Viresh Kumar).

  - Continue to replace CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME with CONFIG_PM throughout
the tree (or drop it where that can be done) in order to make
it possible to eliminate CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME (Rafael J Wysocki,
Ulf Hansson, Ludovic Desroches). There will be one more
"CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME removal" batch after this one, because some
new uses of it have been introduced during the current merge
window, but that should be sufficient to finally get rid of it.

  - Make the ACPI EC driver more robust against race conditions
related to GPE handler installation failures (Lv Zheng).

  - Prevent the ACPI device PM core code from attempting to
disable GPEs that it has not enabled which confuses ACPICA
and makes it report errors unnecessarily (Rafael J Wysocki).

  - Add a "force" command line switch to the intel_pstate driver
to make it possible to override the blacklisting of some
systems in that driver if needed (Ethan Zhao).

  - Improve intel_pstate code documentation and add a MAINTAINERS
entry for it (Kristen Carlson Accardi).

  - Make the ACPI fan driver create cooling device interfaces
witn names that reflect the IDs of the ACPI device objects
they are associated with, except for "generic" ACPI fans
(PNP ID "PNP0C0B"). That's necessary for user space thermal
management tools to be able to connect the fans with the
parts of the system they are supposed to be cooling properly.

Hans Verkuil 427ae153c6 [media] bq/c-qcam, w9966, pms: move to staging in preparation for removal
These drivers haven't been tested in a long, long time. The hardware is
ancient and hopelessly obsolete. These drivers also need to be converted
to newer media frameworks but due to the lack of hardware that's going
to be impossible. In addition, cheaper and vastly better hardware is
available today.

So these drivers are a prime candidate for removal. If someone is
interested in working on these drivers to prevent their removal, then
please contact the linux-media mailinglist.

Let's be honest, the age of parallel port webcams and ISA video capture
boards is really gone.

This driver hasn't been tested in a long, long time. The company that made
this chip has gone bust many years ago and hardware using this chip is next
to impossible to find.

This driver needs to be converted to newer media frameworks but due to the
lack of hardware that's going to be impossible. Since cheap alternatives are
easily available, there is little point in keeping this driver alive.

Hans Verkuil 389208e117 [media] cx88: remove leftover start_video_dma() call
The start_streaming op is responsible for starting the video dma,
so it shouldn't be called anymore from the buf_queue op.

Unfortunately, this call to start_video_dma() was added to the
start_streaming op, but was forgotten to be removed from the
buf_queue op, which is where it used to be before the vb2 conversion.

Calling this function twice causes very hard to find errors: sometimes
it works, sometimes it doesn't. It took me a whole friggin' day
to track this down, and in the end it was just luck that my eye suddenly
triggered on that line.

Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There are

Linus Torvalds 92a578b064 ACPI and power management updates for 3.19-rc1
This time we have some more new material than we used to have during
the last couple of development cycles.

The most important part of it to me is the introduction of a unified
interface for accessing device properties provided by platform
firmware. It works with Device Trees and ACPI in a uniform way and
drivers using it need not worry about where the properties come
from as long as the platform firmware (either DT or ACPI) makes
them available. It covers both devices and "bare" device node
objects without struct device representation as that turns out to
be necessary in some cases. This has been in the works for quite
a few months (and development cycles) and has been approved by
 all of the relevant maintainers.

On top of that, some drivers are switched over to the new interface
(at25, leds-gpio, gpio_keys_polled) and some additional changes are
made to the core GPIO subsystem to allow device drivers to manipulate
GPIOs in the "canonical" way on platforms that provide GPIO information
in their ACPI tables, but don't assign names to GPIO lines (in which
case the driver needs to do that on the basis of what it knows about
the device in question). That also has been approved by the GPIO
core maintainers and the rfkill driver is now going to use it.

Second is support for hardware P-states in the intel_pstate driver.
It uses CPUID to detect whether or not the feature is supported by
the processor in which case it will be enabled by default. However,
it can be disabled entirely from the kernel command line if necessary.

Next is support for a platform firmware interface based on ACPI
operation regions used by the PMIC (Power Management Integrated
Circuit) chips on the Intel Baytrail-T and Baytrail-T-CR platforms.
That interface is used for manipulating power resources and for
thermal management: sensor temperature reporting, trip point setting
 and so on.

Also the ACPI core is now going to support the _DEP configuration
information in a limited way. Basically, _DEP it supposed to reflect
off-the-hierarchy dependencies between devices which may be very
indirect, like when AML for one device accesses locations in an
operation region handled by another device's driver (usually, the
device depended on this way is a serial bus or GPIO controller).
The support added this time is sufficient to make the ACPI battery
driver work on Asus T100A, but it is general enough to be able to
cover some other use cases in the future.

Finally, we have a new cpufreq driver for the Loongson1B processor.

In addition to the above, there are fixes and cleanups all over the
place as usual and a traditional ACPICA update to a recent upstream
 release.

As far as the fixes go, the ACPI LPSS (Low-power Subsystem) driver
for Intel platforms should be able to handle power management of
the DMA engine correctly, the cpufreq-dt driver should interact
with the thermal subsystem in a better way and the ACPI backlight
driver should handle some more corner cases, among other things.

On top of the ACPICA update there are fixes for race conditions
in the ACPICA's interrupt handling code which might lead to some
random and strange looking failures on some systems.

In the cleanups department the most visible part is the series
of commits targeted at getting rid of the CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME
configuration option. That was triggered by a discussion
regarding the generic power domains code during which we realized
that trying to support certain combinations of PM config options
was painful and not really worth it, because nobody would use them
in production anyway. For this reason, we decided to make
CONFIG_PM_SLEEP select CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME and that lead to the
conclusion that the latter became redundant and CONFIG_PM could
be used instead of it. The material here makes that replacement
in a major part of the tree, but there will be at least one more
batch of that in the second part of the merge window.

 Specifics:

  - Support for retrieving device properties information from ACPI
_DSD device configuration objects and a unified device properties
interface for device drivers (and subsystems) on top of that.
As stated above, this works with Device Trees and ACPI and allows
device drivers to be written in a platform firmware (DT or ACPI)
agnostic way. The at25, leds-gpio and gpio_keys_polled drivers
are now going to use this new interface and the GPIO subsystem
is additionally modified to allow device drivers to assign names
to GPIO resources returned by ACPI _CRS objects (in case _DSD is
not present or does not provide the expected data). The changes
in this set are mostly from Mika Westerberg, Rafael J Wysocki,
Aaron Lu, and Darren Hart with some fixes from others (Fabio Estevam,
    Geert Uytterhoeven).

  - Support for Hardware Managed Performance States (HWP) as described
in Volume 3, section 14.4, of the Intel SDM in the intel_pstate
driver. CPUID is used to detect whether or not the feature is
supported by the processor. If supported, it will be enabled
automatically unless the intel_pstate=no_hwp switch is present in
the kernel command line. From Dirk Brandewie.

  - New Intel Broadwell-H ID for intel_pstate (Dirk Brandewie).

  - Support for firmware interface based on ACPI operation regions
used by the PMIC chips on the Intel Baytrail-T and Baytrail-T-CR
platforms for power resource control and thermal management
    (Aaron Lu).

  - Limited support for retrieving off-the-hierarchy dependencies
between devices from ACPI _DEP device configuration objects
and deferred probing support for the ACPI battery driver based
on the _DEP information to make that driver work on Asus T100A
    (Lan Tianyu).

  - New cpufreq driver for the Loongson1B processor (Kelvin Cheung).

  - ACPICA update to upstream revision 20141107 which only affects
    tools (Bob Moore).

  - Fixes for race conditions in the ACPICA's interrupt handling
code and in the ACPI code related to system suspend and resume
(Lv Zheng and Rafael J Wysocki).

  - ACPI core fix for an RCU-related issue in the ioremap() regions
management code that slowed down significantly after CPUs had
been allowed to enter idle states even if they'd had RCU callbakcs
queued and triggered some problems in certain proprietary graphics
driver (and elsewhere). The fix replaces synchronize_rcu() in
that code with synchronize_rcu_expedited() which makes the issue
    go away. From Konstantin Khlebnikov.

  - ACPI LPSS (Low-Power Subsystem) driver fix to handle power
management of the DMA engine included into the LPSS correctly.
The problem is that the DMA engine doesn't have ACPI PM support
of its own and it simply is turned off when the last LPSS device
having ACPI PM support goes into D3cold. To work around that,
the PM domain used by the ACPI LPSS driver is redesigned so at
least one device with ACPI PM support will be on as long as the
DMA engine is in use. From Andy Shevchenko.

  - ACPI backlight driver fix to avoid using it on "Win8-compatible"
systems where it doesn't work and where it was used by default by
    mistake (Aaron Lu).

  - Assorted minor ACPI core fixes and cleanups from Tomasz Nowicki,
Sudeep Holla, Huang Rui, Hanjun Guo, Fabian Frederick, and
Ashwin Chaugule (mostly related to the upcoming ARM64 support).

  - Intel RAPL (Running Average Power Limit) power capping driver
fixes and improvements including new processor IDs (Jacob Pan).

  - Generic power domains modification to power up domains after
attaching devices to them to meet the expectations of device
drivers and bus types assuming devices to be accessible at
    probe time (Ulf Hansson).

  - Preliminary support for controlling device clocks from the
generic power domains core code and modifications of the
ARM/shmobile platform to use that feature (Ulf Hansson).

  - Assorted minor fixes and cleanups of the generic power
domains core code (Ulf Hansson, Geert Uytterhoeven).

  - Assorted minor fixes and cleanups of the device clocks control
code in the PM core (Geert Uytterhoeven, Grygorii Strashko).

  - Consolidation of device power management Kconfig options by making
CONFIG_PM_SLEEP select CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME and removing the latter
which is now redundant (Rafael J Wysocki and Kevin Hilman). That
is the first batch of the changes needed for this purpose.

  - Core device runtime power management support code cleanup related
to the execution of callbacks (Andrzej Hajda).

  - cpuidle ARM support improvements (Lorenzo Pieralisi).

  - cpuidle cleanup related to the CPUIDLE_FLAG_TIME_VALID flag and
a new MAINTAINERS entry for ARM Exynos cpuidle (Daniel Lezcano and
    Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz).

  - New cpufreq driver callback (->ready) to be executed when the
cpufreq core is ready to use a given policy object and cpufreq-dt
driver modification to use that callback for cooling device
    registration (Viresh Kumar).

  - cpufreq core fixes and cleanups (Viresh Kumar, Vince Hsu,
    James Geboski, Tomeu Vizoso).

  - Assorted fixes and cleanups in the cpufreq-pcc, intel_pstate,
cpufreq-dt, pxa2xx cpufreq drivers (Lenny Szubowicz, Ethan Zhao,
    Stefan Wahren, Petr Cvek).

  - OPP (Operating Performance Points) framework modification to
allow OPPs to be removed too and update of a few cpufreq drivers
(cpufreq-dt, exynos5440, imx6q, cpufreq) to remove OPPs (added
during initialization) on driver removal (Viresh Kumar).

  - Hibernation core fixes and cleanups (Tina Ruchandani and
    Markus Elfring).

  - PM Kconfig fix related to CPU power management (Pankaj Dubey).

  - cpupower tool fix (Prarit Bhargava).

information in a limited way. Basically, _DEP it supposed to reflect
off-the-hierarchy dependencies between devices which may be very
indirect, like when AML for one device accesses locations in an
operation region handled by another device's driver (usually, the
device depended on this way is a serial bus or GPIO controller). The
support added this time is sufficient to make the ACPI battery driver
work on Asus T100A, but it is general enough to be able to cover some
other use cases in the future.

Finally, we have a new cpufreq driver for the Loongson1B processor.

In addition to the above, there are fixes and cleanups all over the
place as usual and a traditional ACPICA update to a recent upstream
  release.

As far as the fixes go, the ACPI LPSS (Low-power Subsystem) driver for
Intel platforms should be able to handle power management of the DMA
engine correctly, the cpufreq-dt driver should interact with the
thermal subsystem in a better way and the ACPI backlight driver should
handle some more corner cases, among other things.

On top of the ACPICA update there are fixes for race conditions in the
ACPICA's interrupt handling code which might lead to some random and
strange looking failures on some systems.

In the cleanups department the most visible part is the series of
commits targeted at getting rid of the CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME configuration
option. That was triggered by a discussion regarding the generic
power domains code during which we realized that trying to support
certain combinations of PM config options was painful and not really
worth it, because nobody would use them in production anyway. For
this reason, we decided to make CONFIG_PM_SLEEP select
CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME and that lead to the conclusion that the latter
became redundant and CONFIG_PM could be used instead of it. The
material here makes that replacement in a major part of the tree, but
there will be at least one more batch of that in the second part of
  the merge window.

  Specifics:

   - Support for retrieving device properties information from ACPI _DSD
device configuration objects and a unified device properties
interface for device drivers (and subsystems) on top of that. As
stated above, this works with Device Trees and ACPI and allows
device drivers to be written in a platform firmware (DT or ACPI)
agnostic way. The at25, leds-gpio and gpio_keys_polled drivers are
now going to use this new interface and the GPIO subsystem is
additionally modified to allow device drivers to assign names to
GPIO resources returned by ACPI _CRS objects (in case _DSD is not
present or does not provide the expected data). The changes in
this set are mostly from Mika Westerberg, Rafael J Wysocki, Aaron
Lu, and Darren Hart with some fixes from others (Fabio Estevam,
     Geert Uytterhoeven).

   - Support for firmware interface based on ACPI operation regions used
by the PMIC chips on the Intel Baytrail-T and Baytrail-T-CR
platforms for power resource control and thermal management (Aaron
     Lu).

   - Limited support for retrieving off-the-hierarchy dependencies
between devices from ACPI _DEP device configuration objects and
deferred probing support for the ACPI battery driver based on the
_DEP information to make that driver work on Asus T100A (Lan
     Tianyu).

   - New cpufreq driver for the Loongson1B processor (Kelvin Cheung).

   - ACPICA update to upstream revision 20141107 which only affects
     tools (Bob Moore).

   - Fixes for race conditions in the ACPICA's interrupt handling code
and in the ACPI code related to system suspend and resume (Lv Zheng
     and Rafael J Wysocki).

   - ACPI core fix for an RCU-related issue in the ioremap() regions
management code that slowed down significantly after CPUs had been
allowed to enter idle states even if they'd had RCU callbakcs
queued and triggered some problems in certain proprietary graphics
driver (and elsewhere). The fix replaces synchronize_rcu() in that
code with synchronize_rcu_expedited() which makes the issue go
     away. From Konstantin Khlebnikov.

   - ACPI LPSS (Low-Power Subsystem) driver fix to handle power
management of the DMA engine included into the LPSS correctly. The
problem is that the DMA engine doesn't have ACPI PM support of its
own and it simply is turned off when the last LPSS device having
ACPI PM support goes into D3cold. To work around that, the PM
domain used by the ACPI LPSS driver is redesigned so at least one
device with ACPI PM support will be on as long as the DMA engine is
     in use. From Andy Shevchenko.

   - ACPI backlight driver fix to avoid using it on "Win8-compatible"
systems where it doesn't work and where it was used by default by
     mistake (Aaron Lu).

   - Assorted minor ACPI core fixes and cleanups from Tomasz Nowicki,
Sudeep Holla, Huang Rui, Hanjun Guo, Fabian Frederick, and Ashwin
Chaugule (mostly related to the upcoming ARM64 support).

   - Intel RAPL (Running Average Power Limit) power capping driver fixes
and improvements including new processor IDs (Jacob Pan).

   - Generic power domains modification to power up domains after
attaching devices to them to meet the expectations of device
drivers and bus types assuming devices to be accessible at probe
     time (Ulf Hansson).

   - Preliminary support for controlling device clocks from the generic
power domains core code and modifications of the ARM/shmobile
platform to use that feature (Ulf Hansson).

   - Assorted minor fixes and cleanups of the generic power domains core
     code (Ulf Hansson, Geert Uytterhoeven).

   - Assorted minor fixes and cleanups of the device clocks control code
in the PM core (Geert Uytterhoeven, Grygorii Strashko).

   - cpuidle cleanup related to the CPUIDLE_FLAG_TIME_VALID flag and a
new MAINTAINERS entry for ARM Exynos cpuidle (Daniel Lezcano and
     Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz).

   - New cpufreq driver callback (->ready) to be executed when the
cpufreq core is ready to use a given policy object and cpufreq-dt
driver modification to use that callback for cooling device
     registration (Viresh Kumar).

   - cpufreq core fixes and cleanups (Viresh Kumar, Vince Hsu, James
     Geboski, Tomeu Vizoso).

   - Assorted fixes and cleanups in the cpufreq-pcc, intel_pstate,
cpufreq-dt, pxa2xx cpufreq drivers (Lenny Szubowicz, Ethan Zhao,
     Stefan Wahren, Petr Cvek).

   - OPP (Operating Performance Points) framework modification to allow
OPPs to be removed too and update of a few cpufreq drivers
(cpufreq-dt, exynos5440, imx6q, cpufreq) to remove OPPs (added
during initialization) on driver removal (Viresh Kumar).

   - Hibernation core fixes and cleanups (Tina Ruchandani and Markus
     Elfring).

   - PM Kconfig fix related to CPU power management (Pankaj Dubey).

   - cpupower tool fix (Prarit Bhargava)"

Takashi Iwai e5edba464c ASoC: Updates for v3.19
Lots and lots of changes this time around, the usual set of driver
updates and a huge bulk of cleanups from Lars-Peter. Probably the most
interesting thing for most users is the Intel driver updates which will
(with some more machine integration work) enable support for newer x86
 laptops.

  - Conversion of AC'97 drivers to use regmap, bringing us closer to the
removal of the ASoC level I/O code.
  - Clean up a lot of old drivers that were open coding things that have
subsequently been implemented in the core.
  - Some DAPM performance improvements.
  - Removal of the now seldom used CODEC mutex.
  - Lots of updates for the newer Intel SoC support, including support
for the DSP and some Cherrytrail and Braswell machine drivers.
  - Support for Samsung boards using rt5631 as the CODEC.
  - Removal of the obsolete AFEB9260 machine driver.
  - Driver support for the TI TS3A227E headset driver used in some
    Chrombeooks.

Rafael J. Wysocki e243c7c1a4 media / PM: Replace CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME with CONFIG_PM
After commit b2b49ccbdd (PM: Kconfig: Set PM_RUNTIME if PM_SLEEP is
selected) PM_RUNTIME is always set if PM is set, so #ifdef blocks
depending on CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME may now be changed to depend on
CONFIG_PM.

The alternative of CONFIG_PM_SLEEP and CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME may be
replaced with CONFIG_PM too.

Make these changes everywhere under drivers/media/.

James Hogan ac03086067 [media] img-ir/hw: Fix potential deadlock stopping timer
The end timer is used for switching back from repeat code timings when
no repeat codes have been received for a certain amount of time. When
the protocol is changed, the end timer is deleted synchronously with
del_timer_sync(), however this takes place while holding the main spin
lock, and the timer handler also needs to acquire the spin lock.

This opens the possibility of a deadlock on an SMP system if the
protocol is changed just as the repeat timer is expiring. One CPU could
end up in img_ir_set_decoder() holding the lock and waiting for the end
timer to complete, while the other CPU is stuck in the timer handler
spinning on the lock held by the first CPU.

Lockdep also spots a possible lock inversion in the same code, since
img_ir_set_decoder() acquires the img-ir lock before the timer lock, but
the timer handler will try and acquire them the other way around:

Dylan Rajaratnam ea0de4ec54 [media] img-ir/hw: Always read data to clear buffer
A problem was found on Polaris where if the unit it booted via the power
button on the infrared remote then the next button press on the remote
would return the key code used to power on the unit.

The sequence is:
 - The polaris powered off but with the powerdown controller (PDC) block
   still powered.
 - Press power key on remote, IR block receives the key.
 - Kernel starts, IR code is in IMG_IR_DATA_x but neither IMG_IR_RXDVAL
   or IMG_IR_RXDVALD2 are set.
 - Wait any amount of time.
 - Press any key.
 - IMG_IR_RXDVAL or IMG_IR_RXDVALD2 is set but IMG_IR_DATA_x is
unchanged since the powerup key data was never read.

This is worked around by always reading the IMG_IR_DATA_x in
img_ir_set_decoder(), rather than only when the IMG_IR_RXDVAL or
IMG_IR_RXDVALD2 bit is set.

The situation of a buffer overflow won't happen, in practice,
with the current values of car_loop table. Yet, the entire logic
that checks for those registration values is too complex. So,
better to add an explicit check, just in case someone changes
the car_loop tables causing a buffer overflow by mistake.

This also helps to remove several smatch warnings, with is good.

This patch is basically produced while testing a tool that
Joe Perches sent upstream sometime ago:

I used it with those arguments:
	$ reformat_with_checkpatch.sh drivers/media/usb/em28xx/em28xx*.[ch]

It actually produced 24 patches, with is too much, and showed
interesting things: gcc produced different codes on most of the
patches, even with just linespace changes. The total code data
remained the same on all cases I checked though.

Anyway, provided that we fold the resulting patches, this tool
seems useful.

Mauro Carvalho Chehab a2ea556117 [media] stv090x: remove export symbol for stv090x_set_gpio()
Drivers that use dvb_attach can have just one exported symbol,
or they will cause compilation breakages depending on the
selected frontends.

As Jim reported:
drivers/built-in.o: In function `technisat_usb2_set_voltage':
technisat-usb2.c:(.text+0x3b4919): undefined reference to `stv090x_set_gpio'
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1

That happens because, on his configuration, the configuration
is:

	CONFIG_DVB_USB=y
	CONFIG_DVB_STV090x=m

Luis proposed ar way to fix, but that would just force the
STV090x to be selected, even if one wants to use a device
with a different frontend.

Instead, let's do the right thing: move set_gpio to the
configuration structure and fill it during dvb_attach().

This way, the driver can still call it, and dvb_attach()
will load stv090x module only if the device really needs it.

Mauro Carvalho Chehab 504febc3f9 Revert "[media] lmed04: add missing breaks"
According with Malcolm, the missing breaks are intentional.

So, let's revert commit d442b15fb4,
add some comments to document it and fix the two smatch warnings:

drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb-v2/lmedm04.c:828 lme_firmware_switch() warn: missing break? reassigning 'st->dvb_usb_lme2510_firmware'
drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb-v2/lmedm04.c:850 lme_firmware_switch() warn: missing break? reassigning 'st->dvb_usb_lme2510_firmware'

using a different strategy to avoid reassign values to
st->dvb_usb_lme2510_firmware.

By default dma_map_sg syncs the mapped buffer to the device. But
buf_prepare expects a buffer syncs for the cpu and the buffer

Hans Verkuil d790b7eda9 [media] vb2-dma-sg: move dma_(un)map_sg here
This moves dma_(un)map_sg to the get_userptr/put_userptr and alloc/put
memops of videobuf2-dma-sg.c and adds dma_sync_sg_for_device/cpu to the
prepare/finish memops.

Now that vb2-dma-sg will sync the buffers for you in the prepare/finish
memops we can drop that from the drivers that use dma-sg.

For the solo6x10 driver that was a bit more involved because it needs to
copy JPEG or MPEG headers to the buffer before returning it to userspace,
and that cannot be done in the old place since the buffer there is still
setup for DMA access, not for CPU access. However, the buf_finish
op is the ideal place to do this. By the time buf_finish is called
the buffer is available for CPU access, so copying to the buffer is fine.

The v4l2_device structure embed a v4l2_prio_state structure used by
default for priority handling, but drivers can override that default by
setting the video_dev prio pointer to a different v4l2_prio_state
instance.

However, the VIDIO_G_PRIORITY and VIDIOC_S_PRIORITY implementations use
the prio state embedded in v4l2_device unconditionally, breaking drivers
that need to override the default. Fix them.

The cause is that uvc_status_cleanup() is called after usb_put_*() in
uvc_delete(). usb_put_*() removes the sysfs parent and eventually
removes the children recursively, so the later device_del() can't find
its sysfs. The fix is simply rearrange the call orders in
uvc_delete() so that the child is removed before the parent.

Hans Verkuil 872dfcfe82 [media] bttv/cx25821/cx88/ivtv: use sg_next instead of sg++
Never use sg++, always use sg = sg_next(sg). Scatterlist entries can
be combined if the memory is contiguous but sg++ won't know about that.

As far as I can tell cx88 and ivtv are really broken because of this,
and bttv and cx25821 are OK because vb1 doesn't combine scatterlist
entries.

But regardless, sg++ should never be used, only sg_next is safe.

Andreas Ruprecht 3f56d2b31d [media] media: pci: smipcie: Fix dependency for DVB_SMIPCIE
In smipcie.c, the function i2c_bit_add_bus() is called. This
function is defined by the I2C bit-banging interfaces enabled
with CONFIG_I2C_ALGOBIT.

As there was no dependency in Kconfig, CONFIG_I2C_ALGOBIT could
be set to "m" while CONFIG_DVB_SMIPCIE was set to "y", resulting
in a build error due to an undefined reference.

Sebastian Reichel 98bea620c7 [media] si4713: add device tree support
Add device tree support by changing the device registration order.
In the device tree the si4713 node is a normal I2C device, which
will be probed as such. Thus the V4L device must be probed from
the I2C device and not the other way around.
