While we move to Common Clk Framework (CCF), direct deferencing of struct
clk wouldn't be possible anymore. Hence get rid of all such instances
in the current clock code and use macros/helpers similar to the ones that
are provided by CCF.
While here also concatenate some strings split across multiple lines
which seem to be needed anyway.

Moving to Common clk framework for OMAP would mean we no longer use
internal lookup mechanism like omap_clk_get_by_name().
get rid of all its usage mostly from hwmod and omap_device
code.
Moving to clk_get() also means the respective platforms
need the clkdev tables updated with an entry for all clocks
used by hwmod to have clock name same as the alias.

As part of Common Clk Framework (CCF) the clk_enable() operation
was split into a clk_prepare() which could sleep, and a clk_enable()
which should never sleep. Similarly the clk_disable() was
split into clk_disable() and clk_unprepare(). This was
needed to handle complex cases where in a clk gate/ungate
would require a slow and a fast part to be implemented.
None of the clocks below seem to be in the 'complex' clocks
category and are just simple clocks which are enabled/disabled
through simple register writes.
Most of the instances also seem to be called in non-atomic
context which means its safe to move all of those from
using a clk_enable() to clk_prepare_enable() and clk_disable() to
clk_disable_unprepare().
For some others, mainly the ones handled through the hwmod framework
there is a possibility that they get called in either an atomic
or a non-atomic context.
The way these get handled below work only as long as clk_prepare
is implemented as a no-op (which is the case today) since this gets
called very early at boot while most subsystems are unavailable.
Hence these are marked with a *HACK* comment, which says we need
to re-visit these once we start doing something meaningful with
clk_prepare/clk_unprepare like doing voltage scaling or something
that involves i2c.
This is in preparation of OMAP moving to CCF.

For OMAP4, the dmtimers are located in the Wake-up, ABE and Peripheral (PER)
power domains. Hence, when the dmtimer is configured to use the "timer_sys_ck"
as its functional clock the actual clock used is different depending on whether
the clock is in the Wake-up, ABE or PER domain. So when we look-up the dmtimer's
"timer_sys_ck" we need to specify the timer device name as well as clock alias
to find the right clock.
Currently, the device names for the timers have the format "omap_timer.X" where
X is the timer instance number. When using to device tree, the format of the
device name created by device-tree is different and has the format
"<reg-address>.<device-name>" (this is assuming that the device-tree "reg"
property is specified). This causes the look-up for the OMAP4 "timer_sys_ck" to
fail. To fix this add new timer clock alias for using device-tree.
Please note that adding a 2nd set of clock aliases for the same clocks to only
temporary until device-tree migration is complete. Then we can remove the legacy
aliases. Hence, I have marked the legacy aliases with a "TODO" to remove them.

In commit c59b537 (ARM: OMAP2+: Simplify dmtimer clock aliases) new clock
aliases were added for OMAP2+ devices. For OMAP2420, I incorrectly set the
clock flag as CK_243X instead of CK_242X. This did not introduce a regression
as the clock flags are not checked for OMAP2 devices. This also explains why
I did not catch this when testing on OMAP2420.
Fix the clock flags for these aliases for correctness.

Since the dtb targets have moved to arch/arm/boot/dts/Makefile, sweep
the platforms that have had new targets added recently and move them over.
While I was at it, I also made the dtb generation more generic, i.e. if
the platform is enabled then all dtbs for that platform will be created.

The Tegra code-base has contained both a legacy DMA and a dmaengine
driver since v3.6-rcX. This series flips Tegra's defconfig to enable
dmaengine rather than the legacy driver, and removes the legacy driver
and all client code.
The branch is based on v3.6-rc6 in order to pick up a bug-fix to the
ASoC Tegra PCM driver that's required for audio to work correctly when
using dmaengine.

The real time counter also called master counter, is a free-running
counter. It produces the count used by the CPU local timer peripherals
in the MPU cluster. The timer counts at a rate of 6.144 MHz.
The ratio registers needs to be configured based on system clock
only onetime. After initialisation, hardware takes care of adjusting
the clock in different low power modes to keep counter rate constant.

Commit 7d7e1eba (ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removal) broke
compile for non-omap as include plat/cpu.h was added. This header
was indirectly included earlier when SPARSE_IRQ was not set, but
does not exist on most platforms.
Fix the problem by removing the cpu_is_omap usage that should
not exist in drivers at all. We can do this by adding proper
clock aliases for the twl-core.c drivers, and drop separate
handling for cases when clock framework is not available as
the behaviour will stay the same.
Note that we need to add a platform device to avoid using the
i2c provided names that may be different on various omaps.

The wakeupgen context-save code reads and stores the AUXCOREBOOT0 and
AUXCOREBOOT1 register contents twice. This seems like a waste of

As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work,
we need to remove plat/hardware.h.
Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files.
The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved
to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h
that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more
readable.
Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt
with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for
all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later
on without patching these files again.
Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the
drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further
patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers.
Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the
unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's
no need to include omap44xx.h.
While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way.

As the interrupts should only be defined in the platform_data, and
eventually coming from device tree, there's no need to define them
in header files.
Let's remove the hardcoded references to irqs.h and fix up the includes
so we don't rely on headers included in irqs.h. Note that we're
defining OMAP_INTC_START as 0 to the interrupts. This will be needed
when we enable SPARSE_IRQ. For some drivers we need to add
#include <plat/cpu.h> for now until these drivers are fixed to
remove cpu_is_omapxxxx() usage.
While at it, sort som of the includes the standard way, and add
the trailing commas where they are missing in the related data
structures.
Note that for drivers/staging/tidspbridge we just define things
locally.

At some point we were planning to pass the bootloader information
with custom atags that did not work out too well.
There's no need for these any longer as the kernel has been booting
fine without them for quite some time. And Now we have device tree
support that can be used instead.
Currently, the device names for the dcan module follows the
format "dcan.X", where 'X' is the dcan instance number.
On other side, driver may request for clock with/without con_id
and dev_id, and it is expected that platform should respect this
request and return the requested clock handle.
Now, when using device tree, the format of the device name created
by OF layer is different, "<reg-address>.<device-name>",
assuming that the device-tree "reg" property is specified.
This causes the look-up failure for clock node in dcan driver
To fix this add new dcan clock alias for using device-tree.

Move the omap_hwmod_common_data.o build directive down to the hwmod
data Makefile section where it belongs. Move the omap_hwmod.o build
directive to the top 'Common support' line, since we have no separate
hwmod code Makefile section, and it's currently needed for all OMAP2+.

This patch adds HWMOD data for all the peripherals of
AM335X device and also hooks up to the existing OMAP framework.
hwmod data has been already been cleaned up for the recent
changes in clocktree, where all leaf nodes have been removed,
since with modulemode based control, both clock and hwmod
interface does same thing. This reduces the code size to large
extent and also avoids duplication of same control.
So instead of specifying module's leaf node as a main_clk,
now we are relying on parent clock of module's functional clock.

AM33XX PRCM architecture is different that any OMAP family
of devices, so it is required to have separate implementation
to handle AM33XX module enable/disable, reset assert/deassert
functionality.
This patch adds wrapper api's in omap_hwmod framework to
access prm/cm for AM33XX family of devices.

Here we have a bunch of miscellaneous cleanups and fixes
to the musb driver. It fixes a bunch of mistakes errors
which nobody has triggered before, so I'm not Ccing stable
tree.
We are finally improving OMAP's VBUS/ID Mailbox usage so
that we can introduce our PHY drivers properly. Also, we're
adding support for multiple instances of the MUSB IP in
the same SoC, as seen on some platforms from TI which
have 2 MUSB instances.
Other than that, we have some small fixes like not kicking
DMA for a zero byte transfer, or properly handling NAK timeout
on MUSB's host side, and the enabling of DMA Mode1 for any
transfers which are aligned to wMaxPacketSize.
All patches have been pending on mailing list for a long time
and I don't expect any big surprises with this pull request.

The mailbox register for usb otg in omap is present in control module.
On detection of any events VBUS or ID, this register should be written
to send the notification to musb core.
Till we have a separate control module driver to write to control module,

to usb_otg_hs.

The sti console workaround uses the OMAP custom tags.
Those tags are not used in upstream kernel and therefore the workaround
never fires on upstream kernels.
Remove the sti console workaround tags part.
This leaves the workaround functional part intact so can be reused if
needed.

The omap3evm has its revision information bits inside the plat/board.h
file. Those bits are not used anywhere in the upstream tree besides the
board-omap3evm.c file.
Move the OMAP3EVM_BOARD_GEN_* bits to the board file and remove the

The extra serial port is not available on 34xx. And the current
omap3-beagle.dts file is for omap3-beagle-xm.dts as it lists 512MB
of memory.
Please somebody submit a new omap3-beagle.dts for the original 34xx
BeagleBoard after testing it properly.

The Gumstix Overo is a computer on module using an OMAP3 processor.
This module must be plugged into an expansion board.
This patch adds a first device tree support for the Overo, using the
Tobi expansion board. The current support is able to boot and mount
the rootfs from MMC.
This patche also updates the omap3 dtb build target.
Currently working:
- mmc0 (on board microSD)
- i2c0 and i2c2 (i2c1 not used)
- led on GPIO

With the new devices (like, AM33XX and OMAP5) we now only support
DT boot mode of operation and now it is the time to start killing
slowly the dependency on hwmod, so with this patch, we are starting
with device resources.
The idea here is implemented considering to both boot modes -
- DT boot mode
OF framework will construct the resource structure (currently
does for MEM & IRQ resource) and we should respect/use these
resources, killing hwmod dependency.
If pdev->num_resources > 0, we assume that MEM & IRQ resources
have been allocated by OF layer already (through DTB).
Once DMA resource is available from OF layer, we should
kill filling any resources from hwmod.
- Non-DT boot mode
Here, pdev->num_resources = 0, and we should get all the
resources from hwmod (following existing steps)

HDMI requires vdda_hdmi_dac (vdac) power for operation. The regulator,
or the regulator supplying the vdac, has been enabled by default and
things have worked without the HDMI driver enabling the vdac.
I encountered the problem when implementing HDMI device tree support,
where the regulator was not enabled by default.
This patch adds the vdda_hdmi_dac to twl-common.c so that the HDMI
driver can use it.

We currently manage HDMI GPIOs in the board files via
platform_enable/disable calls. This won't work with device tree, and in
any case the correct place to manage the GPIOs is in the HDMI driver.
This patch moves the handling of the GPIOs to the HDMI driver. The GPIO
handling is moved to the common hdmi.c file, and this probably needs to
be revisited when adding OMAP5 HDMI support to see if the GPIO handling
needs to be moved to IP specific files.

The driver doesn't need to know about its platform_device.
Everything the driver needs can be done through the
struct device pointer. In case we need to use the
OMAP-specific PM function pointers, those can make
sure to find the device's platform_device pointer
so they can find the struct omap_device through
pdev->archdata field.

If NR_IRQS is less than MAX_IRQS, we end up writing past the
irq_target_cpu array in omap_wakeupgen_init():

This can happen if SPARSE_IRQ is enabled as by default NR_IRQS is

The OMAP4 sl2if IP block requires some special programming for it to
enter idle. Without this programming, it will prevent the rest of
the chip from entering full chip idle.
This patch comments out the IP block data.
Later, once the appropriate support is available, this patch can be
reverted.

IVA2 hwmod resets were missing the status bit offsets. Also, as the
hwmod itself didn't have prcm info at all, resetting iva hwmod was
accessing some bogus memory addresses. Added both infos to fix this.

for AM33xx as well (Change the gptX_fck => timerX_fck).

Currently, omap2_sync32k_clocksource_init() function initializes the 32K
timer as the system clock source regardless of the CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER
setting.
Fix this by providing a default implementation for
!CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER case.

Now GPMC provides its client with interrupts that can be handled
using the standard interrupt API. Modify GPMC NAND setup to work
with it.
Also disable write protect in GPMC code, so that NAND driver can
be ignorant of GPMC configuration.

Modify interrupt handling such that interrupts can be handled by GPMC
client drivers using standard interrupt APIs rather than requiring
the drivers to have knowledge about GPMC interrupt handling. Currently
only NAND related interrupts has been considered (which is the case
even without this change) as the only user of GPMC interrupt is NAND.

Currently omap onenand driver invokes gpmc_cs_request, obtains address
space allocated by gpmc to onenand. Remove this, instead use resource
structure; this is now updated with address space for onenand by gpmc
initialization with the help of gpmc_cs_request. And remove usage of
gpmc_cs_request in onenand driver.
This helps in smooth migration of gpmc to driver.

for passing the address space allocated by gpmc for nand. Use struct
resource instead. With this change omap nand driver has to get
address space from memory resource.

The new omap4 cpuidle implementation currently requires
ARCH_NEEDS_CPU_IDLE_COUPLED, which only works on SMP.
This patch makes it possible to build a non-SMP kernel
for that platform. This is not normally desired for
end-users but can be useful for testing.
Without this patch, building rand-0y2jSKT results in:

different PMU types in the system, the usual one being that on the CPU
(ARM_PMU_DEVICE_CPU). With the removal of the PMU reservation code and
the introduction of devicetree bindings for the CPU PMU, the enumeration
is no longer required.
This patch removes the enumeration and updates the various CPU PMU
platform devices so that they no longer pass an .id field referring
to identify the PMU type.

Remove the feature to configure the CLKR/FSR mux on McBSP port with 6pin
configuration.
When moving to devicetree these callback can no longer be used in a clean
way anymore.
If a board require to change the 6pin port to work in 4pin setup it needs
to set up the mux in the board file.

am3517evm board uses McBSP1 for audio with 4pin configuration.

Move the McBSP CLKS re-parenting code to ASoC driver from
arch/arm/mach-omap2.
The call fort the re-parenting has been already limited to OMAP2+ SoC in
the ASoC driver. There is no longer need to have callback function for it.

This is a alternative to "HACK: OMAP: DSS2: VENC: disable VENC on OMAP4 to
prevent crash" (ba02fa37de) by Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com> to prevent
VENC from crashing OMAP4 kernel. This prevents OMAPDSS from initial registration
of a device for VENC on OMAP4.

OMAP hardware doesn't provide a phyisical DTR line, but
some configurations may need a DTR line which tracks whether
the device is open or not.
So allow a gpio to be configured as the DTR line.

Since several OMAP3 based boards will be using the unified simple audio
driver it is better to not have duplicated code in the board files for this
purpose.
Board files can call omap_twl4030_audio_init(); to set up the needed device
for the audio support.
For example:
