Stephen Rothwell 1670b2b271 [POWERPC] Remove iSeries_vio_dev
It was only being used to carry around dma_iommu_ops and vio_iommu_table
which we can use directly instead. This also means that vio_bus_device
doesn't need to refer to them either.

Arjan van de Ven 5dfe4c964a [PATCH] mark struct file_operations const 2
Many struct file_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const
moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential
dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to
these shared resources.

Alexey Dobriyan b653d081c1 [PATCH] proc: remove useless (and buggy) ->nlink settings
Bug: pnx8550 code creates directory but resets ->nlink to 1.

create_proc_entry() et al will correctly set ->nlink for you.

Stephen Rothwell d9523aa157 [POWERPC] iSeries: fix mf proc initialisation
This proc file should only be created if we are running on legacy
iSeries. Since we can now run the same kernel on legacy iSeries and
other machines, we currently get the /proc/iSeries directory and the
files in it on non-iSeries machines, and accessing them causes an oops
in some cases. This and the following patches make sure that these
files are not created on non-iSeries machines, thus avoiding the oops.

Cedric Le Goater 9ec52099e4 [PATCH] replace cad_pid by a struct pid
There are a few places in the kernel where the init task is signaled. The
ctrl+alt+del sequence is one them. It kills a task, usually init, using a
cached pid (cad_pid).

This patch replaces the pid_t by a struct pid to avoid pid wrap around
problem. The struct pid is initialized at boot time in init() and can be
modified through systctl with

	/proc/sys/kernel/cad_pid

[ I haven't found any distro using it ? ]

It also introduces a small helper routine kill_cad_pid() which is used
where it seemed ok to use cad_pid instead of pid 1.

Olof Johansson 4bd174fe1c [PATCH] powerpc: Remove stale iseries global
Not even the iSeries maintainer seems to have access to this legendary
piranha simulator. It adds a bit of ugliness in the common time init
code, and if it's no longer used we might as well be done with it and
remove the bloat.

Michael Ellerman 00611c5cfc [PATCH] powerpc: iseries: Make more stuff static in platforms/iseries/mf.c
Make mf_get_rtc(), mf_get_boot_rtc() and mf_set_rtc() static, cause they can
be. We need to move mf_set_rtc() to avoid a forward declaration.

Michael Ellerman a9ea2101aa [PATCH] powerpc: iseries: Remove pointless iSeries_(restart|power_off|halt)
These routines just call through to the mf routines, so point ppc_md straight
at the mf routines. We need to pass the cmd through to mf_reboot to make it
work, but that seems reasonable.

Michael Ellerman 260de22faa [PATCH] powerpc: iseries: mf related cleanups
Some cleanups in the iSeries code.
 - Make mf_display_progress() check mf_initialized rather than the caller.
 - Set mf_initialized in mf_init() rather than in setup.c
 - Then move mf_initialized into mf.c, the only place it's used.
 - Move the mf related logic from iSeries_progress() to mf_display_progress()
 - Use a #define to size the pending_event_prealloc array
 - Use that define in the initialsation loop rather than sizeof jiggery pokery
 - Remove stupid comment(s)
 - Mark stuff static and/or __init

Paul Mackerras 143a1dec7e powerpc: Merge machdep.h
A few things change for consistency between ppc32 and ppc64:
idle functions return void; *_get_boot_time functions return
unsigned long (i.e. time_t) rather than filling in a struct rtc_time
(since that's useful to the callers and easier for pmac to
generate); *_get_rtc_time and *_set_rtc_time functions take
a struct rtc_time; irq_canonicalize is gone; nvram_sync returns
void.

Stephen Rothwell 426c1a11a6 powerpc: move iSeries/iSeries_pci.h to platforms/iseries
The only real user of this file outside platforms/iseries was
drivers/net/iseries_veth.c but all it wanted was ISERIES_HV_ADDR()
so we move that to abs_addr.h (and lowercase it).

Stephen Rothwell c8b84976f8 powerpc: move iSeries_setup.[ch] and mf.c into platforms/iseries
iSeries_setup.c becomes setup.c
iSeries_setup.h becomes setup.h
mf.c retains its name

Also moved iSeries_[gs]et_rtc_time and iSeries_get_boot_time into
mf.c since they are just small wrappers around mf_ functions.
