The driver only has runtime but no build time dependency with FSL_SOC ||
ARCH_MXC || ARCH_LAYERSCAPE. So it can be built for testing purposes if
the COMPILE_TEST option is enabled.
This is useful to have more build coverage and make sure that the driver
is not affected by changes that could cause build regressions.

When the device is registered via OF, the OF table is used to match the
driver instead of the SPI device ID table, but the entries in the later
are used as aliasses to load the module if the driver was not built-in.
This is because the SPI core always reports an SPI module alias instead
of an OF one, but that could change so it's better to always export it.

If the driver is built as a module, module alias information isn't filled
so the module won't be autoloaded. Add a SPI device ID table and use the
MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() macro so the information is exported in the module.
Before this patch:

Size used with 'dma_alloc_coherent()' and 'dma_free_coherent()' should be
consistent.

The warning is correct, but not critical because this appears
to be a write-only variable that is set by each WAN driver but
never accessed afterwards.
I'm taking the minimal fix here, using the correct pointer by
pointing 'mem_end' to the last byte inside of the register area
as all other WAN drivers do, rather than the first byte outside of
it. An alternative would be to just remove the mem_end member
entirely.

Use managed resource functions devm_kzalloc and pcim_enable_device
to simplify error handling. Subsequently, remove unnecessary
kfree, pci_disable_device and pci_release_regions.
To be compatible with the change, various gotos are replaced with
direct returns and unneeded labels are dropped.
Also, `sc` was only being freed in the probe function and not the
remove function before the change. By using devm_kzalloc this patch
also fixes this memory leak.

An HDLC device can change type when the protocol driver is changed.
Calling the notifier change allows potential users of the interface
know about this planned change, and even block it. After the change
has occurred, send a second notification to users can evaluate the new
device type etc.

The current code first unregisters the device, and then detaches the
protocol from it. This should be performed the other way around, since
the detach may try to use state which has been freed by the
unregister. Swap the order, so that we first detach and then remove the
netdev.

The N_X25 line discipline may access the previous line discipline's closed
and already-freed private data on open [1].
The tty->disc_data field _never_ refers to valid data on entry to the
line discipline's open() method. Rather, the ldisc is expected to
initialize that field for its own use for the lifetime of the instance
(ie. from open() to close() only).

The cosa driver is rather outdated and does not get built on most
platforms because it requires the ISA_DMA_API symbol. However
there are some ARM platforms that have ISA_DMA_API but no virt_to_bus,
and they get this build error when enabling the ltpc driver.

Testing xmit_more support with netperf and connected UDP sockets,
I found strange dst refcount false sharing.
Current handling of IFF_XMIT_DST_RELEASE is not optimal.
Dropping dst in validate_xmit_skb() is certainly too late in case
packet was queued by cpu X but dequeued by cpu Y
The logical point to take care of drop/force is in __dev_queue_xmit()
before even taking qdisc lock.
As Julian Anastasov pointed out, need for skb_dst() might come from some
packet schedulers or classifiers.
This patch adds new helper to cleanly express needs of various drivers
or qdiscs/classifiers.
Drivers that need skb_dst() in their ndo_start_xmit() should call
following helper in their setup instead of the prior :

Instead of using a single bit, we use two bits, one being
eventually rebuilt in bonding/team drivers.

If "newmtu * 2 + 4" is too large then it can cause an integer overflow
leading to memory corruption. Eric Dumazet suggests that 65534 is a
reasonable upper limit.
Btw, "newmtu" is not allowed to be a negative number because of the
check in dev_set_mtu(), so that's ok.
