Patch series "kasan: detect invalid frees". KASAN detects double-frees, but does not detect invalid-frees (when a pointer into a middle of heap object is passed to free). We recently had a very unpleasant case in crypto code which freed an inner object inside of a heap allocation. This left unnoticed during free, but totally corrupted heap and later lead to a bunch of random crashes all over kernel code. Detect invalid frees. This patch (of 5): Detect frees of pointers into middle of large heap objects. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
