Fork of alistair23 Linux kernel for reMarkable from https://github.com/alistair23/linux

The usb core is the only major place in the kernel that checks for a non-NULL device dma_mask to see if a device is DMA capable. This is generally a bad idea, as all major busses always set up a DMA mask, even if the device is not DMA capable - in fact bus layers like PCI can't even know if a device is DMA capable at enumeration time. This leads to lots of workaround in HCD drivers, and also prevented us from setting up a DMA mask for platform devices by default last time we tried. Replace this guess with an explicit HCD_DMA that is set by drivers that appear to have DMA support. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
