Boot data (such as EFI related data) is not encrypted when the system is booted because UEFI/BIOS does not run with SME active. In order to access this data properly it needs to be mapped decrypted. Update early_memremap() to provide an arch specific routine to modify the pagetable protection attributes before they are applied to the new mapping. This is used to remove the encryption mask for boot related data. Update memremap() to provide an arch specific routine to determine if RAM remapping is allowed. RAM remapping will cause an encrypted mapping to be generated. By preventing RAM remapping, ioremap_cache() will be used instead, which will provide a decrypted mapping of the boot related data. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
