First it is more efficient to use bio_for_each_bvec() in both blk_bio_segment_split() and __blk_recalc_rq_segments() to compute how many multi-page bvecs there are in the bio. Secondly once bio_for_each_bvec() is used, the bvec may need to be splitted because its length can be very longer than max segment size, so we have to split the big bvec into several segments. Thirdly when splitting multi-page bvec into segments, the max segment limit may be reached, so the bio split need to be considered under this situation too. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
