Don Skidmore cd7e1f0b05 ixgbe: Fix KR to KX fail over for Mezzanine cards
This patch allows the recently added backplane device IDs that support KR
to fail over to KX during link setup. This is accomplished by the new MAC
link setup function ixgbe_setup_mac_link_smartspeed(). Comments were also
updated to better document the reason for the delays chosen for KX, KX4, BX,
BX4 and KR connections.

Peter P Waskiewicz Jr 6ad3810b0e ixgbe: Remove ATR computation for UDP traffic
ATR support for UDP on 82599 needs to be redesigned, since the
current model doesn't make much sense. The fallout from having
it in though is it causes all UDP traffic to still compute the
ATR hashes on transmit, which are useless. This removal will

Ben Greear aad719182d ixgbe patch to provide NIC's tx/rx counters via ethtool
When LRO is enabled, the received packet and byte counters represent the
LRO'd packets, not the packets/bytes on the wire. The Intel 82599 NIC has
registers that keep count of the physical packets. Add these counters to
the ethtool stats. The byte counters are 36-bit, but the high 4 bits were
being ignored in the 2.6.31 ixgbe driver: Read those as well to allow
longer time between polling the stats to detect wraps.

82599 has a different register offset for the Tx DCA control registers.
We disable relaxed ordering of the descriptor writebacks for Tx head

shouldn't be a visible issue, since ixgbe doesn't use Tx head writeback.

Peter P Waskiewicz Jr 6b1be1990d ixgbe: Create separate media type for CX4 adapters
Currently the media type detection for CX4 adapters lumps them into a
type of fiber. This causes some strange fallout when firmware verification

82599 CX4 adapters into this bucket.

Peter P Waskiewicz Jr 1b3ff02eac ixgbe: Properly disable packet split per-ring when globally disabled
The packet split feature was recently moved out of the adapter-wide flags
feature field and into a per-Rx ring feature field. In the process, packet
split isn't properly disabled in the Rx ring if the adapter has it globally
disabled, followed by a device reset.

This won't impact the driver today, since it's always in packet split mode.
However, this will prevent any pitfalls if someone disables packet split on
the adapter in the future and doesn't disable it in each ring.

Yi Zou 8de8b2e634 ixgbe: Add support for multiple Tx queues for FCoE in 82599
This patch adds support for multiple transmit queues to the Fiber Channel
over Ethernet (FCoE) feature found in 82599. Currently, FCoE has multiple
Rx queues available, along with a redirection table, that helps distribute
the I/O load across multiple CPUs based on the FC exchange ID. To make
this the most effective, we need to provide the same layout of transmit
queues to match receive.

Particularly, when Data Center Bridging (DCB) is enabled, the designated
traffic class for FCoE can have dedicated queues for just FCoE traffic,
while not affecting any other type of traffic flow.

Mallikarjuna R Chilakala c3c7432741 ixgbe: Patch to fix 82599 multispeed fiber link issues when driver is loaded without any cable and reconnecting it to 1G partner
In 82599 multi speed fiber case when driver is loaded without any
cable and reconnecting the cable with a 1G partner does not bring
up the link in 1Gb mode. When there is no link we first setup the link
at 10G & 1G and then try to re-establish the link at highest speed 10G
and thereby changing autoneg_advertised value to highest speed 10G.
After connecting back the cable to a 1G link partner we never try 1G
as autoneg advertised value is changed to link at 10G only. The
following patch fixes the issue by properly initializing the
autoneg_advertised value just before exiting from link setup routine.

We return the ddp->len in ixgbe_fcoe_ddp() to indicate the length of data that

However, this is only required on received queues allocated for FCoE. This
patch adds a per ring flags to indicate if packet split is disabled on a
per queue basis, particularly for FCoE, as packet split must be disabled
for large receive using direct data placement (DDP).

Yi Zou a6616b42fb ixgbe: Pass rx_ring directly in ixgbe_configure_srrctl()
Instead of passing the register index of the corresponding rx_ring and find
the way back to get to corresponding rx_ring in ixgbe_configure_srrctl(),
simplify the function ixgbe_configure_srrctl() by passing the rx_ring into
it. Then the register index for that rx_ring is already available from
rx_ring->reg_idx.

Lucy Liu 36e89d73e5 ixgbe: allow vlan egress priority mapping in DCB mode
The skb priority to vlan-qos egress mapping that can be configured using
set_egress_map with vconfig is overriden by the DCB code in the driver.

This patch allows this existing mechanism to work and will increase the
configuration flexibility of DCB mode on Linux.

A hierarchy of configuration is:

1. Modifies the ixgbe_select_queue() routine for DCB mode to return the
priority value from the VLAN tag. It will normally be zero, unless the egress
priority map has modified it. This will get packets into the correct queue and
result in the queue_mapping field being set correctly.

2. Any tc filter which modifies queue_mapping will be honored, as the filters
are handled after the vlan egress map is handled.

Mallikarjuna R Chilakala 202ff1ec8e ixgbe: Patch to modify 82598 PCIe completion timeout values
The default completion timeout values for 82598 should be in the
range of 50us to 50ms, however the hardware default for these
parts is 500us to 1ms which is less than the 10ms recommended by
the pcie spec. To address this we need to increase the value to
either 10ms to 250ms for capability version 1 configuration, or
16ms to 55ms for version 2.

Peter P Waskiewicz Jr 0a924578bc ixgbe: Fix RSC completion delay causing Rx interrupts to stop
When a user disables interrupt throttling with ethtool on 82599 devices,
the interrupt timer may not be re-enabled if hardware RSC is running. The
RSC completions in hardware don't complete before the next ITR event tries
to fire, so the ITR timer never gets re-armed. This patch increases the
amount of time between interrupts when throttling is disabled (rx-usecs =
0) when the hardware RSC deature is enabled.

Don Skidmore 8bae1b2b13 ixgbe: fix for 82599 errata marking UDP checksum errors
There is an 82599 errata that UDP frames with a zero checksum are
