Alexander Mukhin b519bcafe7 package/pppd: use uclibc libcrypt instead of openssl

Fabrice Fontaine 541021ec24 pppd: fix build with glibc 2.28
Since glibc 2.28
(https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=9205), the obsolete
functions encrypt, encrypt_r, setkey, setkey_r, cbc_crypt, ecb_crypt,
and des_setparity are no longer available to newly linked binaries, and
the headers <rpc/des_crypt.h> and <rpc/rpc_des.h> are no longer
installed. These functions encrypted and decrypted data with the DES
block cipher, which is no longer considered secure. Software that still
uses these functions should switch to a modern cryptography library,
such as libgcrypt.

So retrieve an upstream patch to use openssl instead of these functions
and a new patch to remove the unsafe header/library path
'-I/usr/include/openssl'

Maksim Salau 1bb454bcb1 pppd: Add an option to not to overwrite /etc/resolv.conf
By default pppd built by buildroot writes the list of nameservers to
/etc/resolv.conf instead of /etc/ppp/resolv.conf
This is not the default behavior of pppd and breaks name resolution
if several network interfaces are used. The change makes this optional
and enabled by default, to be backward compatible and to add a possibility
to turn this behavior off, if required.

Adam Duskett 289137ed61 package/p*/Config.in: fix ordering of statements
The check-package script when ran gives warnings on ordering issues

Stefan Nickl 9d08404d9a pppd: better fix for the Linux 4.8 kernel headers issue
Commit 035567b279 solved the build issue
of pppd with Linux 4.8 kernel headers, but in the process broke the
build with older kernel headers such as 3.10.

This commit takes a different approach, by moving the <netinet/in.h>
include above linux header includes.

Linux uapi headers try to avoid redeclaring things from libc via
linux/libc-compat.h. However that only works if the libc header is
included first.

Thomas Petazzoni 035567b279 pppd: fix build with Linux 4.8 headers
This commit fixes the build of pppd with toolchain using Linux 4.8
headers. The patch has been taken from a pull request pending on the
Github project, which is unfortunately somewhat dead.

The fix is not the most beautiful one, but it does the job, in a piece
of source code that's anyway rather messy in terms of mixing userspace
headers and kernel headers.

Thomas Petazzoni 665e13c85e Rename BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to BR2_STATIC_LIBS
Since a while, the semantic of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB has been changed
from "prefer static libraries when possible" to "use only static
libraries". The former semantic didn't make much sense, since the user
had absolutely no control/idea of which package would use static
libraries, and which packages would not. Therefore, for quite some
time, we have been starting to enforce that BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB
should really build everything with static libraries.

As a consequence, this patch renames BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to
BR2_STATIC_LIBS, and adjust the Config.in option accordingly.

This also helps preparing the addition of other options to select
shared, shared+static or just static.

Note that we have verified that this commit can be reproduced by
simply doing a global rename of BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to
BR2_STATIC_LIBS plus adding BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB to Config.in.legacy.

Thomas De Schampheleire 0518a98ac3 packages: rename FOO_MAKE_OPT into FOO_MAKE_OPTS
While the autotools infrastructure was using FOO_MAKE_OPT, generic packages
were typically using FOO_MAKE_OPTS. This inconsistency becomes a problem
when a new infrastructure is introduced that wants to make use of
FOO_MAKE_OPT(S), and can live alongside either generic-package or
autotools-package. The new infrastructure will have to choose between either
OPT or OPTS, and thus rule out transparent usage by respectively generic
packages or generic packages. An example of such an infrastructure is
kconfig-package, which provides kconfig-related make targets.

The OPTS variant is more logical, as there are typically multiple options.

This patch renames all occurrences of FOO_MAKE_OPT in FOO_MAKE_OPTS.

Thomas De Schampheleire 35eaed8d07 Config.in files: use if/endif instead of 'depends on' for main symbol
In the Config.in file of package foo, it often happens that there are other
symbols besides BR2_PACKAGE_FOO. Typically, these symbols only make sense
when foo itself is enabled. There are two ways to express this: with
    depends on BR2_PACKAGE_FOO
in each extra symbol, or with
    if BR2_PACKAGE_FOO
        ...
    endif
around the entire set of extra symbols.

The if/endif approach avoids the repetition of 'depends on' statements on
multiple symbols, so this is clearly preferred. But even when there is only
one extra symbol, if/endif is a more logical choice:
- it is future-proof for when extra symbols are added
- it allows to have just one strategy instead of two (less confusion)

This patch modifies the Config.in files accordingly.

Pppd bundles some, but not all needed kernel headers. In Linux 3.5 (and
before that 2.6.35) if_pppol2tp.h was changed, so the embedded copy was no
longer compatible.

if_pppol2tp.h has been part of the exported kernel headers since 2.6.23, so
simply drop the bundled copy and use the kernel headers instead, similar
to how it is done in Gentoo:
