Current tcpm_detach() only reset hard_reset_count if port->attached
is true, this may cause this counter clear is missed if the CC
disconnect event is generated after tcpm_port_reset() is done
by other events, e.g. VBUS off comes first before CC disconect for
a power sink, in that case the first tcpm_detach() will only clear
port->attached flag but leave hard_reset_count there because
tcpm_port_is_disconnected() is still false, then later tcpm_detach()
by CC disconnect will directly return due to port->attached is cleared,
finally this will result tcpm will not try hard reset or error recovery
for later attach.

The patch addresses the compliance test failures while running
TD.PD.CP.E3, TD.PD.CP.E4, TD.PD.CP.E5 of the "Deterministic PD
Compliance MOI" test plan published in https://www.usb.org/usbc.
For a product to be Type-C compliant, it's expected that these tests
are run on usb.org certified Type-C compliance tester as mentioned in
https://www.usb.org/usbc.
The purpose of the tests TD.PD.CP.E3, TD.PD.CP.E4, TD.PD.CP.E5 is to
verify the PR_SWAP response of the device. While doing so, the test
asserts that Source Capabilities message is NOT received from the test
device within tSwapSourceStart min (20 ms) from the time the last bit
of GoodCRC corresponding to the RS_RDY message sent by the UUT was
sent. If it does then the test fails.
This is in line with the requirements from the USB Power Delivery
Specification Revision 3.0, Version 1.2:
"6.6.8.1 SwapSourceStartTimer
The SwapSourceStartTimer Shall be used by the new Source, after a
Power Role Swap or Fast Role Swap, to ensure that it does not send
Source_Capabilities Message before the new Sink is ready to receive
the
Source_Capabilities Message. The new Source Shall Not send the
Source_Capabilities Message earlier than tSwapSourceStart after the
last bit of the EOP of GoodCRC Message sent in response to the PS_RDY
Message sent by the new Source indicating that its power supply is
ready."
The patch makes sure that TCPM does not send the Source_Capabilities
Message within tSwapSourceStart(20ms) by transitioning into
SRC_STARTUP only after tSwapSourceStart(20ms).

Sometimes the embedded controller firmware does not
terminate the list of alternate modes that the partner
supports in its response to the GET_ALTERNATE_MODES command.
Instead the firmware returns the supported alternate modes
over and over again until the driver stops requesting them.
If that happens, the number of modes for each alternate mode
will exceed the maximum 6 that is defined in the USB Power
Delivery specification. Making sure that can't happen by
adding a check for it.
This fixes NULL pointer dereference that is caused by the
overrun.

Failing probe with -EPROBE_DEFER until all dependencies
listed in the _DEP (Operation Region Dependencies) object
have been met.
This will fix an issue where on some platforms UCSI ACPI
driver fails to probe because the address space handler for
the operation region that the UCSI ACPI interface uses has
not been loaded yet.

John reported screaming irq caused by rt1711h when system boot[1],
this is because irq request is done before tcpci_register_port(),
so the chip->tcpci has not been setup, irq handler is entered but
can't do anything, this patch is to address this by moving the irq

If the registration of the DisplayPort was not successful,
or if the port does not support DisplayPort alt mode in the
first place, the function ucsi_displayport_remove_partner()
will fail with NULL pointer dereference when it attempts to
access the driver data.
Adding a check to the function to make sure there really is
driver data for the device before modifying it.

Augmented Power Delivery Objects (A)PDO_s are used by USB-C
PD power adapters to advertize the voltages and currents
they support. There can be up to 7 PDO_s but before PPS
(programmable power supply) there were seldom more than 4
or 5. Recently Samsung released an optional PPS 45 Watt power
adapter (EP-TA485) that has 7 PDO_s. It is for the Galaxy 10+
tablet and charges it quicker than the adapter supplied at
purchase. The EP-TA485 causes an overzealous WARN_ON to soil
the log plus it miscalculates the number of bytes to read.
So this bug has been there for some time but goes
undetected for the majority of USB-C PD power adapters on
the market today that have 6 or less PDO_s. That may soon
change as more USB-C PD adapters with PPS come to market.
Tested on a EP-TA485 and an older Lenovo PN: SA10M13950
USB-C 65 Watt adapter (without PPS and has 4 PDO_s) plus
several other PD power adapters.

For vbus change event, we need read the vbus status to clear
the alert. Current code do this in queue work, this has problem
on single core running, the queue work of vbus change may have
no chance to be scheduled as we continue receive the vbus change
event in threaded irq.

Add typec irq as system wakeup source, in case typec irq is not enabled
as system wakeup soruce by user, disable typec irq when suspend to avoid
the threaded irq handler will access some resource(i2c/rpmsg) which is

While system suspend, the typec event handling required service
maybe is not available(suspended), so we need freeze those event
handling by using freezable workqueue, e.g while tcpm is handling
PD message but system suspend started.

We may do tcpm port unregister in middle of tcpm state transitions,
if there are delayed works queued, we need cancel them before finish
the tcpm unregsiter.

In case source only for power, but dual data role on USB, we
enable drp toggling for detect source(host), then keep it at
SNK_ATTACHED state, this is mainly for get orientation.

Some single power role port with dual data role, this kind of
port connects non-typec port for usb data will need tcpm to
work to get polarity for orientation change, so remove the drp
port condition for now.

Making sure that ucsi_displayport_enter() function does not
return an error if the displayport alternate mode has
already been entered. It's normal that the firmware (or
controller) has already entered the alternate mode by the
time the operating system is notified about the device.

The "run_isr" flag is used for preventing the driver from
calling the interrupt service routine in its runtime resume
callback when the driver is expecting completion to a
command, but what that basically does is that it hides the
real problem. The real problem is that the controller is
allowed to suspend in the middle of command execution.
As a more appropriate fix for the problem, using autosuspend
delay time that matches UCSI_TIMEOUT_MS (5s). That prevents
the controller from suspending while still in the middle of
executing a command.
This fixes a potential deadlock. Both ccg_read() and
ccg_write() are called with the mutex already taken at least
from ccg_send_command(). In ccg_read() and ccg_write, the
mutex is only acquired so that run_isr flag can be set.

There appears to be a typo in the comparison of pdo_max_voltage[i]
with the previous value, currently it is checking against the
array pdo_min_voltage rather than pdo_max_voltage. I believe this
is a typo. Fix this.

own subdirectory under the debugfs root.
Another patch in this series will make the same change to the fusb302
driver, which also uses dev_name() (on the same device) for the debugfs
entry name. So we also prefix dev_name() with "tcpm-" here to avoid a
name conflict.

By registering a software fwnode for the port when the
firmware does not supply one, we can always provide tcpm the
connector capabilities by using the common USB connector
device properties instead of using tcpc_config platform data.
