Geert Uytterhoeven 85c5e4c429 ARM: dts: lager: Name spi pfc subnodes after device names
Name the Pin Function Controller subnodes for QSPI and MSIOF1 after
their device names, instead of after the spi interface aliases.

This avoids conflicts when enabling support for more spi interfaces
later, either here or in a DT overlay.

Simon Horman a5bad2c7c9 ARM: dts: lager: Remove unnecessary clock-output-names properties
* Fixed rate and fixed factor clocks do not require an
  clock-output-names property.
* Since 07705583e9 ("clk: shmobile: div6: Make clock-output-names
optional") Renesas div6 clocks do not require a clock-output-names
  property.

In the above cases there is only one clock output and its name is taken
from that of the clock node. Accordingly, remove the unnecessary
clock-output-names properties and as necessary update the node names.

Since 16ccaf5bb5 ("pinctrl: sh-pfc: Accept standard function, pins and

This patch updates the lager device tree to use the generic

As of commits 5cfdedb7b9 ("mtd: ofpart: move ofpart partitions to a

Linus Torvalds 5c73cc4b6c ARM: DT updates for v4.1
As always, this tends to be one of our bigger branches. There are lots of
updates this release, but not that many jumps out as something that needs
more detailed coverage. Some of the highlights are:

 - DTs for the new Annapurna Labs Alpine platform
 - More graphics DT pieces falling into place on Exynos, bridges, clocks.
 - Plenty of DT updates for Qualcomm platforms for various IP blocks
 - Some churn on Tegra due to switch-over to tool-generated pinctrl data
 - Misc fixes and updates for Atmel at91 platforms
 - Various DT updates to add IP block support on Broadcom's Cygnus platforms
 - More updates for Renesas platforms as DT support is added for various IP
   blocks (IPMMU, display, audio, etc).

Linus Torvalds a233bb742a ARM: SoC DT updates

other non-GPL projects more easily. There's also been changes to the
DT Makefile to make it a little less conflict-ridden and churny down

Kuninori Morimoto ad63241cdc ARM: shmobile: r8a7790: tidyup #sound-dai-cells settings
Renesas sound driver needs #sound-dai-cells settings, but, this usage
is a little bit confusable. It came from ALSA SoC historical reasons.
The sound DAI naming method is different between Single/Multi DAI in
the ALSA framework, and it is used for sound card matching.
And this #sound-dai-cells has relationship to it.
Current SoC dtsi has #sound-dai-cells = <1> as default settings
(= it is assuming that board/platform has multi DAI), and
board/platform side needs to overwrite it if board/platform was single
DAI. This style is more confusable for users.
This patch removes SoC side default settings, and force to set it by
board/platform side.

Geert Uytterhoeven cf85581607 ARM: shmobile: lager dts: Add chosen/stdout-path
Add a stdout-path property so that automatic console selection works
in the absence of a "console=" parameter on the kernel command line.

Note that we have to keep the "console=" parameter in chosen/bootargs,
as this DTS is shared between legacy and multi-platform.
