Amit Virdi ec512fb8e5 usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix TRB preparation during SG
When scatter gather (SG) is used, multiple TRBs are prepared from one DWC3
request (dwc3_request). So while preparing TRBs, the 'last' flag should be set
only when it is the last TRB being prepared from the last dwc3_request entry.

The current implementation uses list_is_last to check if the dwc3_request is the
last entry from the request_list. However, list_is_last returns false for the
last entry too. This is because, while preparing the first TRB from a request,
the function dwc3_prepare_one_trb modifies the request's next and prev pointers
while moving the URB to req_queued. Hence, list_is_last always returns false no
matter what.

The correct way is not to access the modified pointers of dwc3_request but to
use list_empty macro instead.

Heikki Krogerus 08f871a3ac usb: dwc3: host: convey the PHYs to xhci
On some platforms a PHY may need to be handled also in the
host controller driver. Exynos5420 SoC requires some "PHY
tuning" based on the USB speed. This patch delivers dwc3's

Felipe Balbi 520fe76336 usb: dwc3: ep0: fix for dead code
commit 6856d30 (usb: dwc3: ep0: return early
on NULL requests) tried to fix a minor corner
case where we could dereference a NULL pointer
but it also ended up introducing some dead code.

Unfortunately, that dead code, if reached, could
end up starving the endpoint request list because
a request would never be given back when it should.

Fix this by moving the check for empty request list
before its first use.

DWC3 Exynos Specific Glue layer can be used only for Exynos SoCs.
In addition, non-DT for EXYNOS SoCs is not supported from v3.11;
thus, there is no need to support non-DT for DWC3 Exynos Specific
Glue layer.

The 'linux/platform_data/dwc3-exynos.h' file has been used for
non-DT support. Thus, the 'dwc3-exynos.h' file is removed, because
it is not used anymore.

When HIRD_Threshold[4] is set to 1b1 and HIRD value is greater than or
equal to the value in HIRD_Threshold[3:0], dwc3 asserts output signals
utmi_l1_suspend_n to put PHY into Deep Low-Power mode in L1.

When HIRD_Threshold[4] is set to 1b0 or the HIRD value is less than
HIRD_Threshold[3:0], dwc3 asserts output signals utmi_sleep_n on L1.

Huang Rui 80caf7d21a usb: dwc3: add lpm erratum support
When parameter DWC_USB3_LPM_ERRATA_ENABLE is enabled in Andvanced
Configuration of coreConsultant, it supports of xHCI BESL Errata Dated
10/19/2011 is enabled in host mode. In device mode it adds the capability
to send NYET response threshold based on the BESL value received in the LPM
token, and the threhold is configurable for each soc platform.

This patch adds an entry that soc platform is able to define the lpm
capacity with their own device tree or bus glue layer.

In Andvanced Configuration of coreConsultant, there is the parameter of
DWC_USB_EN_FPGA. This bit has the function we need. And it would response as 7
bit of GHWPARAMS6 register. So it's able to check this functional bit to confirm

Felipe Balbi 22835b807e usb: gadget: remove unnecessary 'driver' argument
now that no UDC driver relies on the extra
'driver' argument to ->udc_stop(), we can
safely remove it.

This commit is based on previous work by
Robert Baldyga <r.baldyga@samsung.com> which
can be found at [1]; however that patch turned
out to have a high probability of regressing
many UDC drivers because of a blind search & replace
s/driver/$udc->driver/ which caused the 'driver'
argument to stop_activity() to be a valid non-NULL
pointer when it should be NULL, thus causing UDCs
to mistakenly call gadget driver's ->disconnect()
callback.

Felipe Balbi 73359cef4f usb: dwc3: gadget: WARN() on bogus usb_ep_queue()
Some gadget/function drivers might want to do
improper request recycling by allocating a single
request from one particular endpoint and queueing
it to another completely unrelated endpoint.

One such case was found with f_loopback.c.

To prevent such cases from happening again, let's
WARN() so we get a loud enough failure and persuade
users to report errors.

George Cherian 7ee2566ff5 usb: dwc3: dwc3-omap: get rid of ->prepare()/->complete()
Enabling the core interrupts in complete is too late for
XHCI, and stops it from proper operation. The root of the
problem is due to a disagreement between dwc3-omap and XHCI
about when IRQs should be enabled.

As it turns out, ->resume's documentation states that:

"... generally the driver is expected to start working
again, responding to hardware events and software requests
(the device itself may be left in a low-power state, waiting
for a runtime resume to occur) ..."

From that we infer that IRQs must be unmasked by the end of
->resume().

Due to that, we will remove ->prepare() and ->complete() and
disable/enable interrupts in ->suspend()/->resume().

Felipe Balbi fa0ea13e9f usb: dwc3: core: write LINUX_VERSION_CODE to our GUID register
DWC3's GUID register is supposed to be used to write
any sort of version we might want. It helps when getting
bug reports for platforms you don't have HW to know
which kernel version of the driver was running on the
platform.

Because we don't really track driver version, but we _do_
track the kernel version, let's write LINUX_VERSION_CODE to
that register and use it for debugging.

Jack Pham 1200a82a59 usb: dwc3: gadget: Properly initialize LINK TRB
On ISOC endpoints the last trb_pool entry used as a
LINK TRB is not getting zeroed out correctly due to
memset being called incorrectly and in the wrong place.
If pool allocated from DMA was not zero-initialized
to begin with this will result in the size and ctrl
values being random garbage. Call memset correctly after
assignment of the trb_link pointer.

Roger Quadros b01ff5cb2f Revert "usb: dwc3: dwc3-omap: Disable/Enable only wrapper interrupts in prepare/complete"
This reverts commit 02dae36aa6.

That commit is bogus in two ways:

1) There's no way dwc3-omap's ->suspend() can cause any effect
	on xhci's ->suspend(). Linux device driver model guarantees
	that a parent's ->suspend() will only be called after all
	children are suspended. dwc3-omap is the parent of the
	parent of xhci.

2) When implementing Deep Sleep states where context is lost,
	USBOTGSS_IRQ0 register, well, looses context so we
	_must_ rewrite it otherwise core IRQs will never be
	reenabled and USB will appear to be dead.

Felipe Balbi 36f84ffb45 usb: dwc3: ep0: fix Data Phase for transfer sizes aligned to wMaxPacketSize
According to Section 8.5.3.2 of the USB 2.0 specification,
a USB device must terminate a Data Phase with either a
short packet or a ZLP (if the previous transfer was
a multiple of wMaxPacketSize).

For reference, here's what the USB 2.0 specification, section
8.5.3.2 says:

8.5.3.2 Variable-length Data Stage

A control pipe may have a variable-length data phase
in which the host requests more data than is contained
in the specified data structure. When all of the data
structure is returned to the host, the function should
indicate that the Data stage is ended by returning a
packet that is shorter than the MaxPacketSize for the
pipe. If the data structure is an exact multiple of
wMaxPacketSize for the pipe, the function will return
a zero-length packet to indicate the end of the Data
stage.

Felipe Balbi 7a60855972 usb: dwc3: gadget: fix set_halt() bug with pending transfers
According to our Gadget Framework API documentation,
->set_halt() *must* return -EAGAIN if we have pending
transfers (on either direction) or FIFO isn't empty (on
TX endpoints).

Fix this bug so that the mass storage gadget can be used
without stall=0 parameter.

This patch should be backported to all kernels since v3.2.

Michal Sojka 304f7e5e1d usb: gadget: Refactor request completion
Use the recently introduced usb_gadget_giveback_request() in favor of
direct invocation of the completion routine.

All places in drivers/usb/ matching "[-.]complete(" were replaced with a
call to usb_gadget_giveback_request(). This was compile-tested with all
ARM drivers enabled and runtime-tested for musb.

Felipe Balbi 2c4cbe6e5a usb: dwc3: add tracepoints to aid debugging
When we're debugging hard-to-reproduce and time-sensitive
use cases, printk() poses too much overhead. That's when
the kernel's tracing infrastructure comes into play.

This patch implements a few initial tracepoints for the
dwc3 driver. More traces can be added as necessary in order
to ease the task of debugging dwc3.

Felipe Balbi 0b93a4c838 usb: dwc3: fix TRB completion when multiple TRBs are started
After commit 2ec2a8be (usb: dwc3: gadget:
always enable IOC on bulk/interrupt transfers)
we created a situation where it was possible to
hang a bulk/interrupt endpoint if we had more
than one pending request in our queue and they
were both started with a single Start Transfer
command.

The problems triggers because we had not enabled
Transfer In Progress event for those endpoints
and we were not able to process early giveback
of requests completed without LST bit set.

Fix the problem by finally enabling Xfer In Progress
event for all endpoint types, except control.

Currently, we disable pm_runtime before all register
accesses are done, this is dangerous and might lead
to abort exceptions due to the driver trying to access
a register which is clocked by a clock which was long
gated.

Fix that by moving pm_runtime_put_sync() and pm_runtime_disable()
as the last thing we do before returning from our ->remove()
method.

Paul Zimmerman 0e1e5c47f7 usb: dwc3: add support for USB 2.0-only core configuration
Newer DWC3 controllers can be built for USB 2.0-only mode, where
most of the USB 3.0 circuitry is left out. To support this mode,
the driver must limit the speed programmed into the DCFG register
to Hi-Speed or lower.

Reads and writes to the PIPECTL register are left as-is, since
they should be no-ops in USB 2.0-only mode. Calls to phy_init()
etc. for the USB3 phy are also left as-is, since the no-op USB3
phy should be used for USB 2.0-only mode controllers.

Zhuang Jin Can 5cd8c48d95 usb: dwc3: gadget: check link trb after free_slot is increased
In ISOC transfers, when free_slot points to the last TRB (i.e. Link
TRB), and all queued requests meet Missed Interval Isoc error, busy_slot
points to trb0.
	busy_slot->trb0
		   trb1
		   ...
	free_slot->trb31(Link TRB)

After end transfer and receiving the XferNotReady event, trb_left is
caculated as 1 which is wrong, and no TRB will be primed to the
endpoint.

The root cause is free_slot is not increased the same way as busy_slot.
When busy_slot is increased by one, it checks if points to a link TRB
after increasement, but free_slot checks it before increasement.
free_slot should behave the same as busy_slot to make the trb_left
caculation correct.

Since PHYs for dwc3 is optional (not all SoCs having PHYs for DWC3
should be programmed), do not return from probe if the USB PHY library
returns -ENODEV as that indicates the platform does not have a
programmable PHY.

While this can be considered as a temporary fix, a long term solution
would be to add 'nop' PHY for platforms that does not have programmable
PHY.

Paul Zimmerman 265b70a73a usb: dwc3: gadget: add a 'restore' argument to set_ep_config
That argument will be used in later patches when we
have working hibernation support. For now, always
pass it as false.

The idea of this patch is to decrease to size of

Felipe Balbi 32a4a13584 usb: dwc3: workaround: clock gating issues
Revisions between 2.10a and 2.50a (included) have
a known issue which may cause xHCI compliance tests
to fail and/or quality issues with Isochronous
transactions.

Note that this issue only impacts certain configurations
of those revisions, namely the ones which have clock
gating enabled.

The suggested workaround is to disable clock gating in
known broken revisions, make sure HW LPM is disabled
and set GCTL.SOFITPSYNC to 1.

Huang Rui 06f9b6e596 usb: dwc3: fix wrong bit mask in dwc3_event_devt
Around DWC USB3 2.30a release another bit has been added to the
Device-Specific Event (DEVT) Event Information (EvtInfo) bitfield.

Because of that, what used to be 8 bits long, has become 9 bits long.

Per dwc3 2.30a+ spec in the Device-Specific Event (DEVT), the field of
Event Information Bits(EvtInfo) uses [24:16] bits, and it has 9 bits
not 8 bits. And the following reserved field uses [31:25] bits not
[31:24] bits, and it has 7 bits.

So in dwc3_event_devt, the bit mask should be:
event_info	[24:16]		9 bits
reserved31_25	[31:25]		7 bits

This patch makes sure that newer core releases will work fine with
Linux and that we will decode the event information properly on new
core releases.

Heikki Krogerus 13518673f1 usb: dwc3: fix the glue drivers using the nop phy
The reset_gpio member of the usb_phy_gen_xceiv_platform_data
structure needs the have negative value or phy-generic's

Robert Baldyga e117e742d3 usb: gadget: add "maxpacket_limit" field to struct usb_ep
This patch adds "maxpacket_limit" to struct usb_ep. This field contains
maximum value of maxpacket supported by driver, and is set in driver probe.
This value should be used by autoconfig() function, because value of field
"maxpacket" is set to value from endpoint descriptor when endpoint becomes
enabled. So when autoconfig() function will be called again for this endpoint,
"maxpacket" value will contain wMaxPacketSize from descriptior instead of
maximum packet size for this endpoint.

For this reason this patch adds new field "maxpacket_limit" which contains
value of maximum packet size (which defines maximum endpoint capabilities).
This value is used in ep_matches() function used by autoconfig().

Value of "maxpacket_limit" should be set in UDC driver probe function, using
usb_ep_set_maxpacket_limit() function, defined in gadget.h. This function
set choosen value to both "maxpacket_limit" and "maxpacket" fields.

This patch modifies UDC drivers by adding support for maxpacket_limit.

The dwc3 UDC driver doesn't implement endpoint wedging correctly.
When an endpoint is wedged, the gadget driver should be allowed to
clear the wedge by calling usb_ep_clear_halt().  Only the host is
prevented from resetting the endpoint.

This patch fixes the implementation.

 "This series cleans up the handling of DMA masks in a lot of drivers,
  fixing some bugs as we go.

  Some of the more serious errors include:
   - drivers which only set their coherent DMA mask if the attempt to
     set the streaming mask fails.
   - drivers which test for a NULL dma mask pointer, and then set the
     dma mask pointer to a location in their module .data section -
     which will cause problems if the module is reloaded.

  To counter these, I have introduced two helper functions:
   - dma_set_mask_and_coherent() takes care of setting both the
     streaming and coherent masks at the same time, with the correct
     error handling as specified by the API.
   - dma_coerce_mask_and_coherent() which resolves the problem of
     drivers forcefully setting DMA masks.  This is more a marker for
     future work to further clean these locations up - the code which
     creates the devices really should be initialising these, but to fix
     that in one go along with this change could potentially be very
     disruptive.

  The last thing this series does is prise away some of Linux's addition
  to "DMA addresses are physical addresses and RAM always starts at
  zero".  We have ARM LPAE systems where all system memory is above 4GB
  physical, hence having DMA masks interpreted by (eg) the block layers
  as describing physical addresses in the range 0..DMAMASK fails on
  these platforms.  Santosh Shilimkar addresses this in this series; the
  patches were copied to the appropriate people multiple times but were
  ignored.

  Fixing this also gets rid of some ARM weirdness in the setup of the
  max*pfn variables, and brings ARM into line with every other Linux
  architecture as far as those go"

Vivek Gautam d9681ee081 usb: dwc3: Remove additional delay of 100ms when resuming
This delay got introduced in:
"7415f17 usb: dwc3: core: add power management support"
which reflected similar code in dwc3_core_soft_reset() function.
However, originally the delay of 100ms in dwc3_core_soft_reset() was
meant to assist USB2PHY and USB3PHY reset, not for usb_phy_init()
sequence.

We should get rid of this delay, since things will still work
fine without this.

Sebastian Andrzej Siewior 3fa4d7344b usb: phy: rename nop_usb_xceiv => usb_phy_gen_xceiv
The "nop" driver isn't a do-nothing-stub but supports a couple functions
like clock on/off or is able to use a voltage regulator. This patch

When deferred probe happens driver will try to ioremap multiple times
and will fail. Memory resource.start variable is a global variable,

We can make use of bit 31 of the GEVNTSIZ(n)
registers to mask/unmask interrupts from that
particular interrupter.

With that feature, we can easily drop IRQF_ONESHOT
from our driver which makes it possible to
properly change IRQ priorities when using RT
patchset *and* it allows us to make use of the
scheduler to choose the proper time to handle
this IRQ thread.

Felipe Balbi 636e2a2cae usb: dwc3: gadget: drop dwc3 manual phy control
Recent versions of the core, can suspend and resume
the PHYs automatically, so we don't need to fiddle
with dwc3's Global PHY registers at all.

On versions prior to 1.94a this patch will mean
that we will never ask dwc3 to suspend the PHY.

This is an acceptable behavior or such old versions
of the core, specially considering that the only
chip known to have a version prior to 1.94a was
OMAP5 ES1.0 and that's not supported in mainline
kernel, because it was just a test spin of OMAP5.

to add consistency, we are switching over to
snps,dwc3 but keeping synopsys,dwc3 in the core

Felipe Balbi 5945f789c8 usb: dwc3: switch to GPL v2 only
This is a Linux-only driver which makes use
of GPL-only symbols. It makes no sense to
maintain Dual BSD/GPL licensing for this driver.

Considering that the amount of work to use this
driver in any different operating system would likely
be as large as developing the driver from scratch and
considering that we depend on GPL-only symbols, we
will switch over to a GPL v2-only license.

Huang Rui 1974d494de usb: dwc3: fix wrong bit mask in dwc3_event_type
Per dwc3 2.50a spec, the is_devspec bit is used to distinguish the
Device Endpoint-Specific Event or Device-Specific Event (DEVT). If the
bit is 1, the event is represented Device-Specific Event, then use
[7:1] bits as Device Specific Event to marked the type. It has 7 bits,
and we can see the reserved8_31 variable name which means from 8 to 31
bits marked reserved, actually there are 24 bits not 25 bits between
that. And 1 + 7 + 24 = 32, the event size is 4 byes.

So in dwc3_event_type, the bit mask should be:
is_devspec	[0]		1  bit
type		[7:1]		7  bits
reserved8_31	[31:8]		24 bits

This patch should be backported to kernels as old as 3.2, that contain
the commit 72246da40f "usb: Introduce
DesignWare USB3 DRD Driver".

AM437x and OMAP5 dwc3 subsytem have different register map.
Major differences are as follows.

OMAP5 has one main interrupt and one misc interrupt
Aegis has four main interrupts and one misc interrupt.

Miscellanous Interrupt offsets are changed.
UTMI OTG Control and Status Registers offsets are changed.
DEBUG Configuration and Status Registers are changed.

The main intend of the patch is to re-use the same wrapper driver
for both OMAP5 and AM437x, by using the x_major in revision
register and adjusting the offsets.

This patch adds the register map offsets and adds offset variables
in struct dwc3_omap to cache the offsets

George Cherian 5bf8fae33d usb: dwc3: gadget: free trb pool only from epnum 2
we never allocate a TRB pool for physical endpoints
0 and 1 so trying to free it (a invalid TRB pool pointer)
will lead us in a warning while removing dwc3.ko module.

In order to fix the situation, all we have to do is skip
dwc3_free_trb_pool() for physical endpoints 0 and 1 just
as we while deleting endpoints from the endpoints list.
