This refactors spl_mmc_load_image to use a switch/case structure and easier
to understand spl_start_uboot checks. This also introduces some more automatic
fallback on the next mmc boot mode as long as it keeps failing.
Lines that go beyond 80 chars are also reduced by reducing the number of tabs.
Debug and error strings are refctored to match a common style.

This value is not used by the network stack and is available in the
global data, so stop passing it around. For the one legacy function
that still expects it (init op on old Ethernet drivers) pass in the
global pointer version directly to avoid changing that interface.

At present SPL uses a single stack, either CONFIG_SPL_STACK or
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR. Since some SPL features (such as MMC and
environment) require a lot of stack, some boards set CONFIG_SPL_STACK to
point into SDRAM. They then set up SDRAM very early, before board_init_f(),
so that the larger stack can be used.
This is an abuse of lowlevel_init(). That function should only be used for
essential start-up code which cannot be delayed. An example of a valid use is
when only part of the SPL code is visible/executable, and the SoC must be set
up so that board_init_f() can be reached. It should not be used for SDRAM
init, console init, etc.
Add a CONFIG_SPL_STACK_R option, which allows the stack to be moved to a new
address before board_init_r() is called in SPL.
The expected SPL flow (for CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK) is documented in the README.

Some boards have a special way of loading U-Boot that does not fit with
the existing SPL code. For example sunxi uses an 'FEL' mode where U-Boot
is loaded over USB. Add a CONFIG option and boot mode for this.

Microblaze currently doesn't use printf in SPL. So this one line was the only
reference to it and resulted in the printf functionality to be pulled in.
Exceeding the 4k size limit. Lets change the printf back to puts so that
Microblaze is fixed again. The only drawback is that the detected boot-device
number will not be printed. But this message alone should be helpful enough
to get an idea where the boot process is broken.

If CONFIG_SPL_NOR_SUPPORT is defined, spl_nor_load_image() requires
spl_start_uboot(), CONFIG_SYS_OS_BASE, CONFIG_SYS_SPL_ARGS_ADDR,
CONFIG_SYS_FDT_BASE to be defined even if users just want to run
U-Boot, not Linux. This is inconvenient.
This patch is following the codying style of common/spl/spl_nand.c.

In SPL MMC, boot modes are exclusive. So, if MMCSD_MODE_RAW fails, the board hangs. This patch allows to
try MMCSD_MODE_FS then, if available.
It has been tested on a pandaboard (rev. A3).

Raw images of U-Boot can be stored inside MMC partitions, so it makes sense to
read the partition table, looking for a partition number instead of using
a fixed sector address.

CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_FS_BOOT_PARTITION to keep it consistent with other config
options such as: CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE_U_BOOT_SECTOR.
In addition, it is not related to raw mode booting but to fs mode instead.

We had the problem on an AM33xx platform, that SPL detected an
unsupported boot-device. But since this message is a debug message
it took a bit of time to really know, where the hangup in SPL
resulted from. So let's change this debug message to a printf
and also print the detected boot-device that is not supported.
This makes debugging of such cases much easier.

We use the switch CONFIG_SUPPORT_EMMC_BOOT today to enable some
additional features of the eMMC boot partitions. Add support for being
told that we have booted from one of these partitions to the spl
framework and implement this on TI OMAP/related.

Add SPL support to be able to detect a USB Mass Storage device
connected to a USB host. Once a USB Mass storage device is detected
the SPL will load the u-boot.img from a FAT partition to target address.

If image name is longer than 32 bytes, then it will be truncated.
This will remove '\0' at the end of the line, so printf will
go out of string limit.

CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE_KERNEL_SECTOR and

The mpc85xx repuires a special layout on the memory device that is
connected to the eSDHC controller interface. But the file spl_mmc.c
didn't handle this specfic case, there needs a special treatmen, in
the powerpc drictory. So, there is no longer to keep spl_mmc.c on
mpc85xx, CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK is not set.
When CONFIG_SPL_MMC_SUPPORT is set and CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK is not
set, there was an error in drivers/mmc/spl_mmc.c:
drivers/mmc/libmmc.o:(.got2+0x8): undefined reference to `spl_image'.
Now, the solution is to move the file "spl_mmc.c" to directory "common/spl".

The boot parameters are read from individual variables
assigned for each of them. This been corrected and now
they are stored as a part of the global data 'gd'
structure. So read them from 'gd' instead.

This patch enables the SPL framework to be used on powerpc platforms
and not only ARM.
timer_init() does not exist on PPC systems. The timer (decrementer) is
initialized and enabled in interrupt_init() here. And currently
interrupt_init() is called after relocation to SDRAM. Since the only
powerpc SPL implementation (a3m071) doesn't need a timer, let's remove
this timer_init() call for PPC systems.

Change jump_to_image_no_args() to a weak symbol to allow override by
SoC specific code. This is required by tegra because the SPL runs on
a different CPU from the image it is loading, so tegra specific
initialization is required to start the host CPU. Pass in spl_image
as a parameter for the same reason.

This patch adds support for networking in SPL. Some devices are
capable of loading SPL via network so it makes sense to load the
main U-Boot binary via network too. This patch tries to use
existing network code as much as possible. Unfortunately, it depends
on environment which in turn depends on other code so SPL size
is increased significantly. No effort was done to decouple network
code and environment so far.

First, remove the puts from the case where we don't have an mkimage
header as this is somewhat common and intentional for no-arg target
images. Second, rework the final switch statement in board_init_r to,
in the case of !CONFIG_SPL_OS_BOOT be only about doing debug prints
about if we know what the magic is or not (the CONFIG_SPL_OS_BOOT case
is unchanged). Then we call jump_to_image_no_args(). This gives us the
same behavior as before but with slightly smaller code.

By setting CONFIG_SYS_UBOOT_START boards can now use a different entry
point for their U-Boot image. So the U-Boot entry point is not fixed
to CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE any more.

On some system (e.g. powerpc), the load-address and entry-point is
located at address 0. So the current approach to load the image
(payload) including the header to the address "load-address - 64"
can't work here.
This patch adds an flag to skip this copying including header to
the SPL framework. By setting SPL_COPY_PAYLOAD_ONLY, only the
playload will be copied. This will be used by the SPL NOR flash
driver on powerpc.

SPL NOR flash booting support is quite simple. Only copying of the
images is needed.
On MPC5xxx we need to make sure to only use the standard memcpy()
implementation and not the MPC5xxx specific one. As the MPC5xxx
version has some complexity which is not needed for this SPL
booting.

If an u-boot image is not found, SPL thinks to load a bare
u-boot.bin image with a maximum size of 200KB.

In SPL (CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK) board_init_f must setup the stack pointer,
clear the BSS and call board_init_r. We mark this as weak as some
platforms may need to perform additional initalization at this point.
We provide a gd that we know will be in a usable location, once the BSS
has been cleared to help with this as well. Finally, we no longer call
relocate_code so remove that from the armv7 version.
Next, both board_init_f and jump_to_image_linux are going to be
inherently arch-specific, so move these versions to arch/arm/lib/spl.c

Add a new flag, CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK to opt into the common/spl SPL
framework, enable on all of the previously using boards. We move the
spl_ymodem.c portion to common/ and spl_mmc.c to drivers/mmc/. We leave
the NAND one in-place as we plan to replace it later in this series.
We use common/spl to avoid linker problems with respect to merging
constant strings in objects. Otherwise all strings in common/ will be
linked in and kept which grows SPL in size too much.
