Vaibhav Bedia f6575c90f6 ARM: DTS: AM33XX: Add nodes for OCMC RAM and WKUP-M3
Since AM33XX supports only DT-boot, this is needed
for the appropriate device nodes to be created.

Note: OCMC RAM is part of the PER power domain and supports
retention. The assembly code for low power entry/exit will
run from OCMC RAM. To ensure that the OMAP PM code does not
attempt to disable the clock to OCMC RAM as part of the
suspend process add the no_idle_on_suspend flag.

Olof Johansson e9daa0ead1 ARM: tegra: add Tegra114 SoC support
This pull request adds initial support for the Tegra114 SoC, which
integrates a quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU. I'm proud to observe that we
posted the initial versions of these patches before the final official
 announcement of this chip.

These patches are enough to boot with a UART-based console, support the
Dalmore and Pluto reference/evaluation boards, instantiate the GPIO and
pinctrl drivers, and enable a cpuidle state. As yet, no clocks or
storage devices are supported, but patches for those will follow shortly.

Olof Johansson ceca718f21 ARM: tegra: USB driver cleanup
The Tegra USB driver has a number of issues:

 1) The PHY driver isn't a true platform device, and doesn't implement
    the standard USB PHY API.

 2) struct device instance numbers were used to make decisions in the
driver, rather than being parameterized by DT or platform data.

This pull request solves issue (2), and lays the groundwork for solving
issue (1). The work on issue (1) involved introducing new DT nodes for
the USB PHYs, which in turn interacted with the Tegra common clock
framework changes, due to the move of clock lookups into device tree.
Hence, these USB driver changes are taken through the Tegra tree with
 acks from USB maintainers.

Olof Johansson bda6f8e6cd ARM: tegra: Common Clock Framework rework
Tegra already supports the common clock framework, but had issues:

 1) The clock driver was located in arch/arm/mach-tegra/ rather than
    drivers/clk/.

 2) A single "Tegra clock" type was implemented, rather than separate
clock types for PLL, mux, divider, ... type in HW.

 3) Clock lookups by device drivers were still driven by device name
and connection ID, rather than through device tree.

This pull request solves all three issues. This required some DT changes
to add clocks properties, and driver changes to request clocks more
"correctly". Finally, this rework allows all AUXDATA to be removed from
Tegra board files, and various duplicate clock lookup entries to be
 removed from the driver.

Nicolas Ferre c3f0f282d9 ARM: at91/DT: remove atmel,use-dma-* from 9x5 and 9n12 USART nodes
Fix the use of USART on both at91sam9x5 and at91sam9n12. In DTS, the
atmel,use-dma-[rx|tx] property is present but a DMA channel cannot be used.
Indeed the connexion between the DMA engine and the slave is not implemented
yet in Device Tree.
Note however that this property is also used for PDC (private DMA) on older
SoCs. This is why the driver alone cannot determine the validity of this
property.

Jason Cooper 183cadc962 fixes for v3.8-rc6
- add missing gpio interrupt lines to dove dt
  - fix bad logic for printing MPP error message on orion boards
  - build proper serial port driver after changing mvebu DT compatible property
    - This is a change to mvebu_defconfig that I wouldn't usually push out as a
      fix. However, the commit

b24212f arm: mvebu: Use dw-apb-uart instead of ns16650 as UART driver

changed the serial driver for the board in the dts file. without the patch
I've included in this pull, users won't see any log messages.

The Tegra20 CAR (Clock And Reset) Controller controls most aspects of
most clocks within Tegra20. The device tree binding models this as a
single monolithic clock provider, which exports many clocks. This reduces
the number of nodes needed in device tree to represent these clocks.

This binding is only useful for Tegra20; the set of clocks that exists on
Tegra30 is sufficiently different to merit its own binding.

Allow a minimal setup of the sh73a0 SoC using a flattened device tree.
In particular, Configure the i2c controllers using a flattened device tree.

SCI serial controller and CMT clock source, whose drivers do not yet
support configuration using a flattened device tree, are still configured
using C code in order to allow booting of a board with this SoC.

*** Please note that the clock initialisation scheme used in

2013-01-25 12:43:49 +09:00
Simon Horman a3f22db510 ARM: mach-shmobile: sh73a0: Allow initialisation of GIC by DT
This allows the GIC interrupt controller of the sh73a0 SoC to be
initialised using a flattened device tree blob.

It does not allow the INTC interrupt controller which is also present on
the sh73a0 SoC to be enabled via device tree. Nor does it handle sharing
of interrupts between the GIC and INTC interrupt controllers.

This limits the usefulness of this code to applications which only wish to
access devices which use interrupts that can be handled by the GIC
interrupt controller. Other applications should, for now, continue using
non-device tree initialisation of the sh72a0 interrupt controllers.

Tony Prisk 12faa35ae5 serial: vt8500: UART uses gated clock rather than 24Mhz reference
UART modules on Wondermedia SoCs are connected via a gated clock
source, rather than directly to the 24Mhz reference clock. While
uboot enables UART0 for debugging, other UART ports are unavailable
until the clock is enabled.

This patch checks that a valid clock is actually passed from devicetree,
enables the clock in probe. This change removes the fallback when a

work if the UART clock was already enabled).

Linus Torvalds 36e7a96ceb Sound fixes #2 for 3.8-rc4
Yet a few more fixes popped up in this week.

The biggest change here is the addition of pinctrl support for Atmel,
which turned out to be almost mandatory to make things working.

The rest are a few fixes for M-Audio usb-audio device and a fix for
regression of HD-audio HDMI codecs with alsactl in the recent kernel.

Maxime Ripard 1bea07f16d ARM: sunxi: Use the Synosys APB UART instead of ns8250
The UART controller used in the A10/A13 is the Synopsys DesignWare 8250.
The wrong use of a regular 8250 driver may lead to a oops during kernel
boot with "irq 17: nobody cared", because the apb UART as an extra
interrupt that gets raised when writing to the LCR when busy.
