Valdis Klētnieks 099340d3e7 exfat: Month timestamp metadata accidentally incremented
The staging/exfat driver has departed, but a lot of distros are still tracking
5.4-stable, so we should fix this.

There was an 0/1 offset error in month handling for file metadata, causing
the month to get incremented on each reference to the file.

Thanks to Sebastian Gurtler for troubleshooting this, and Arpad Mueller
for bringing it to my attention.

Ian Abbott 1e3de428d1 staging: comedi: mf6x4: Fix AI end-of-conversion detection
commit 56c90457eb upstream.

I have had reports from two different people that attempts to read the
analog input channels of the MF624 board fail with an `ETIMEDOUT` error.

After triggering the conversion, the code calls `comedi_timeout()` with
`mf6x4_ai_eoc()` as the callback function to check if the conversion is
complete. The callback returns 0 if complete or `-EBUSY` if not yet
complete. `comedi_timeout()` returns `-ETIMEDOUT` if it has not
completed within a timeout period which is propagated as an error to the
user application.

The existing code considers the conversion to be complete when the EOLC
bit is high. However, according to the user manuals for the MF624 and
MF634 boards, this test is incorrect because EOLC is an active low
signal that goes high when the conversion is triggered, and goes low
when the conversion is complete. Fix the problem by inverting the test
of the EOLC bit state.

Samuel Thibault b0d4fa10bf speakup: Reject setting the speakup line discipline outside of speakup
commit f0992098ca upstream.

Speakup exposing a line discipline allows userland to try to use it,
while it is deemed to be useless, and thus uselessly exposes potential
bugs. One of them is simply that in such a case if the line sends data,
spk_ttyio_receive_buf2 is called and crashes since spk_ttyio_synth
is NULL.

This change restricts the use of the speakup line discipline to
speakup drivers, thus avoiding such kind of issues altogether.

Randy Dunlap 733729d3e0 staging/octeon: fix up merge error
commit 673b41e04a upstream.

There's a semantic conflict in the Octeon staging network driver, which
used the skb_reset_tc() function to reset skb state when re-using an
skb. But that inline helper function was removed in mainline by commit
2c64605b59 ("net: Fix CONFIG_NET_CLS_ACT=n and
CONFIG_NFT_FWD_NETDEV={y, m} build").

Fix it by using skb_reset_redirect() instead. Also move it out of the

This code path only ends up triggering if REUSE_SKBUFFS_WITHOUT_FREE is
enabled, which in turn only happens if you don't have CONFIG_NETFILTER
configured. Which was how this wasn't caught by the usual allmodconfig
builds.

Necip Fazil Yildiran cd7ea86a4a staging: ralink-gdma: fix kconfig dependency bug for DMA_RALINK
[ Upstream commit 06ea594051 ]

When DMA_RALINK is enabled and DMADEVICES is disabled, it results in the
following Kbuild warnings:

WARNING: unmet direct dependencies detected for DMA_ENGINE
  Depends on [n]: DMADEVICES [=n]
  Selected by [y]:
  - DMA_RALINK [=y] && STAGING [=y] && RALINK [=y] && !SOC_RT288X [=n]

WARNING: unmet direct dependencies detected for DMA_VIRTUAL_CHANNELS
  Depends on [n]: DMADEVICES [=n]
  Selected by [y]:
  - DMA_RALINK [=y] && STAGING [=y] && RALINK [=y] && !SOC_RT288X [=n]

The reason is that DMA_RALINK selects DMA_ENGINE and DMA_VIRTUAL_CHANNELS
without depending on or selecting DMADEVICES while DMA_ENGINE and
DMA_VIRTUAL_CHANNELS are subordinate to DMADEVICES. This can also fail
building the kernel as demonstrated in a bug report.

Honor the kconfig dependency to remove unmet direct dependency warnings
and avoid any potential build failures.

Ian Abbott 15506ee688 staging: comedi: cb_pcidas: Allow 2-channel commands for AO subdevice
commit 647a6002cb upstream.

The "cb_pcidas" driver supports asynchronous commands on the analog
output (AO) subdevice for those boards that have an AO FIFO. The code
(in `cb_pcidas_ao_check_chanlist()` and `cb_pcidas_ao_cmd()`) to
validate and set up the command supports output to a single channel or
to two channels simultaneously (the boards have two AO channels).
However, the code in `cb_pcidas_auto_attach()` that initializes the
subdevices neglects to initialize the AO subdevice's `len_chanlist`
member, leaving it set to 0, but the Comedi core will "correct" it to 1
if the driver neglected to set it. This limits commands to use a single
channel (either channel 0 or 1), but the limit should be two channels.
Set the AO subdevice's `len_chanlist` member to be the same value as the
`n_chan` member, which will be 2.

Anant Thazhemadam aecf3a1c11 staging: comedi: check validity of wMaxPacketSize of usb endpoints found
commit e1f13c879a upstream.

While finding usb endpoints in vmk80xx_find_usb_endpoints(), check if
wMaxPacketSize = 0 for the endpoints found.

Some devices have isochronous endpoints that have wMaxPacketSize = 0
(as required by the USB-2 spec).
However, since this doesn't apply here, wMaxPacketSize = 0 can be
considered to be invalid.

Merge tag 'v5.4.67' into 5.4-2.2.x-imx

This is the 5.4.67 stable release

This updates the kernel present in the NXP release imx_5.4.47_2.2.0 to the
latest patchset available from stable korg.

Base stable kernel version present in the NXP BSP release is v5.4.47.

Following conflicts were recorded and resolved:
- arch/arm/mach-imx/pm-imx6.c
NXP version has a different PM vectoring scheme, where the IRAM bottom
half (8k) is used to store IRAM code and pm_info. Keep this version to
be compatible with NXP PM implementation.

- arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mm-evk.dts
- arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mn-ddr4-evk.dts
NXP patches kept to provide proper LDO setup:
imx8mm-evk.dts: 975d8ab07267ded741c4c5d7500e524c85ab40d3
imx8mn-ddr4-evk.dts: e8e35fd0e759965809f3dca5979a908a09286198

- drivers/crypto/caam/caamalg.c
Keep NXP version, as it already covers the functionality for the
upstream patch [d6bbd4eea2]

- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/dw_hdmi-imx.c
- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/imx-ldb.c
- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/ipuv3/ipuv3-crtc.c
Port changes from upstream commit [1a27987101], which extends
component lifetime by moving drm structures allocation/free from
bind() to probe().

- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/imx-ldb.c
Merge patch [1752ab50e8] from upstream to disable both LVDS channels
when Enoder is disabled

- drivers/mmc/host/sdhci-esdhc-imx.c
Fix merge fuzz produced by [6534c897fd].

- drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/dpaa2/dpaa2-eth.c
Commit d1a00c9bb1 from upstream solves the issue with improper error
reporting when qdisc type support is absent. Upstream version is merged
into NXP implementation.

- drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/enetc/enetc.c
Commit [ce06fcb6a6] from upstream merged,
base NXP version kept

- drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/enetc/enetc_pf.c
Commit [e8b86b4d87] from upstream solves
the kernel panic in case if probing fails. NXP has a clean-up logic
implemented different, where the MDIO remove would be invoked in any
failure case. Keep the NXP logic in place.

- drivers/thermal/imx_thermal.c
Upstream patch [9025a5589c] adds missing
of_node_put call, NXP version has been adapted to accommodate this patch
into the code.

- drivers/usb/cdns3/ep0.c
Manual merge of commit [be8df02707] from
upstream to protect cdns3_check_new_setup

- drivers/xen/swiotlb-xen.c
Port upstream commit cca58a1669 to NXP tree, manual hunk was
resolved during merge.

- sound/soc/fsl/fsl_esai.c
Commit [53057bd4ac] upstream addresses the problem of endless isr in
case if exception interrupt is enabled and tasklet is scheduled. Since
NXP implementation has tasklet removed with commit [2bbe95fe6c],
upstream fix does not match the main implementation, hence we keep the
NXP version here.

- sound/soc/fsl/fsl_sai.c
Apply patch [b8ae2bf5cc] from upstream, which uses FIFO watermark
mask macro.

Guoniu.zhou 6bd941f789 MLK-24514-1: staging: media: samsung csi: print message when fail to get gpr
For iMX8MP platform, csi driver need to get gpr to set isp_dewarp control
in mediamix_gpr registers, but for iMX8MN platform, there is no isp dewarp
module, driver don't need to get gpr property in driver. So only print error
message when there is no gpr property instead of return error.

Dinghao Liu a8b8b535c5 Staging: rtl8188eu: rtw_mlme: Fix uninitialized variable authmode
commit 11536442a3 upstream.

The variable authmode can be uninitialized. The danger would be if
it equals to _WPA_IE_ID_ (0xdd) or _WPA2_IE_ID_ (0x33). We can avoid
this by setting it to zero instead. This is the approach that was
used in the rtl8723bs driver.

Rustam Kovhaev af707d9d7f staging: rtl8712: handle firmware load failure
commit b4383c971b upstream.

when firmware fails to load we should not call unregister_netdev()
this patch fixes a race condition between rtl871x_load_fw_cb() and
r871xu_dev_remove() and fixes the bug reported by syzbot

Suren Baghdasaryan 6a7626c479 staging: android: ashmem: Fix lockdep warning for write operation
commit 3e338d3c95 upstream.

syzbot report [1] describes a deadlock when write operation against an
ashmem fd executed at the time when ashmem is shrinking its cache results
in the following lock sequence:

Possible unsafe locking scenario:

        CPU0                    CPU1
        ----                    ----
   lock(fs_reclaim);
                                lock(&sb->s_type->i_mutex_key#13);
                                lock(fs_reclaim);
   lock(&sb->s_type->i_mutex_key#13);

kswapd takes fs_reclaim and then inode_lock while generic_perform_write
takes inode_lock and then fs_reclaim. However ashmem does not support
writing into backing shmem with a write syscall. The only way to change
its content is to mmap it and operate on mapped memory. Therefore the race
that lockdep is warning about is not valid. Resolve this by introducing a
separate lockdep class for the backing shmem inodes.
