Guido Günther 331a6438eb regulator: bd718x7: Add enable times
[ Upstream commit 3b66e4a8e5 ]

Use the typical startup times from the data sheet so boards get a
reasonable default. Not setting any enable time can lead to board hangs
when e.g. clocks are enabled too soon afterwards.

This fixes gpu power domain resume on the Librem 5.

cross tree issues -- broonie]

DingHua Ma 7e0f7a2936 regulator: axp20x: Fix DLDO2 voltage control register mask for AXP22x
commit 291de1d102 upstream.

When I use the axp20x chip to power my SDIO device on the 5.4 kernel,
the output voltage of DLDO2 is wrong. After comparing the register
manual and source code of the chip, I found that the mask bit of the
driver register of the port was wrong. I fixed this error by modifying
the mask register of the source code. This error seems to be a copy
error of the macro when writing the code. Now the voltage output of
the DLDO2 port of axp20x is correct. My development environment is
Allwinner A40I of arm architecture, and the kernel version is 5.4.

Nishanth Menon b9589cb079 regulator: ti-abb: Fix array out of bound read access on the first transition
[ Upstream commit 2ba546ebe0 ]

At the start of driver initialization, we do not know what bias
setting the bootloader has configured the system for and we only know
for certain the very first time we do a transition.

However, since the initial value of the comparison index is -EINVAL,
this negative value results in an array out of bound access on the
very first transition.

Since we don't know what the setting is, we just set the bias
configuration as there is nothing to compare against. This prevents
the array out of bound access.

NOTE: Even though we could use a more relaxed check of "< 0" the only
valid values(ignoring cosmic ray induced bitflips) are -EINVAL, 0+.

Michał Mirosław f352cca846 regulator: defer probe when trying to get voltage from unresolved supply
commit cf1ad559a2 upstream.

regulator_get_voltage_rdev() is called in regulator probe() when
applying machine constraints. The "fixed" commit exposed the problem
that non-bypassed regulators can forward the request to its parent
(like bypassed ones) supply. Return -EPROBE_DEFER when the supply
is expected but not resolved yet.

Merge tag 'v5.4.67' into 5.4-2.2.x-imx

This is the 5.4.67 stable release

This updates the kernel present in the NXP release imx_5.4.47_2.2.0 to the
latest patchset available from stable korg.

Base stable kernel version present in the NXP BSP release is v5.4.47.

Following conflicts were recorded and resolved:
- arch/arm/mach-imx/pm-imx6.c
NXP version has a different PM vectoring scheme, where the IRAM bottom
half (8k) is used to store IRAM code and pm_info. Keep this version to
be compatible with NXP PM implementation.

- arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mm-evk.dts
- arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/imx8mn-ddr4-evk.dts
NXP patches kept to provide proper LDO setup:
imx8mm-evk.dts: 975d8ab07267ded741c4c5d7500e524c85ab40d3
imx8mn-ddr4-evk.dts: e8e35fd0e759965809f3dca5979a908a09286198

- drivers/crypto/caam/caamalg.c
Keep NXP version, as it already covers the functionality for the
upstream patch [d6bbd4eea2]

- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/dw_hdmi-imx.c
- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/imx-ldb.c
- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/ipuv3/ipuv3-crtc.c
Port changes from upstream commit [1a27987101], which extends
component lifetime by moving drm structures allocation/free from
bind() to probe().

- drivers/gpu/drm/imx/imx-ldb.c
Merge patch [1752ab50e8] from upstream to disable both LVDS channels
when Enoder is disabled

- drivers/mmc/host/sdhci-esdhc-imx.c
Fix merge fuzz produced by [6534c897fd].

- drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/dpaa2/dpaa2-eth.c
Commit d1a00c9bb1 from upstream solves the issue with improper error
reporting when qdisc type support is absent. Upstream version is merged
into NXP implementation.

- drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/enetc/enetc.c
Commit [ce06fcb6a6] from upstream merged,
base NXP version kept

- drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/enetc/enetc_pf.c
Commit [e8b86b4d87] from upstream solves
the kernel panic in case if probing fails. NXP has a clean-up logic
implemented different, where the MDIO remove would be invoked in any
failure case. Keep the NXP logic in place.

- drivers/thermal/imx_thermal.c
Upstream patch [9025a5589c] adds missing
of_node_put call, NXP version has been adapted to accommodate this patch
into the code.

- drivers/usb/cdns3/ep0.c
Manual merge of commit [be8df02707] from
upstream to protect cdns3_check_new_setup

- drivers/xen/swiotlb-xen.c
Port upstream commit cca58a1669 to NXP tree, manual hunk was
resolved during merge.

- sound/soc/fsl/fsl_esai.c
Commit [53057bd4ac] upstream addresses the problem of endless isr in
case if exception interrupt is enabled and tasklet is scheduled. Since
NXP implementation has tasklet removed with commit [2bbe95fe6c],
upstream fix does not match the main implementation, hence we keep the
NXP version here.

- sound/soc/fsl/fsl_sai.c
Apply patch [b8ae2bf5cc] from upstream, which uses FIFO watermark
mask macro.

Vincent Whitchurch 8aeb6173e8 regulator: pwm: Fix machine constraints application
[ Upstream commit 59ae97a7a9 ]

If the zero duty cycle doesn't correspond to any voltage in the voltage
table, the PWM regulator returns an -EINVAL from get_voltage_sel() which
results in the core erroring out with a "failed to get the current
voltage" and ending up not applying the machine constraints.

Instead, return -ENOTRECOVERABLE which makes the core set the voltage
since it's at an unknown value.

For example, with this device tree:

	fooregulator {
		compatible = "pwm-regulator";
		pwms = <&foopwm 0 100000>;
		regulator-min-microvolt = <2250000>;
		regulator-max-microvolt = <2250000>;
		regulator-name = "fooregulator";
		regulator-always-on;
		regulator-boot-on;
		voltage-table = <2250000 30>;
	};

Before this patch:

  fooregulator: failed to get the current voltage(-22)

After this patch:

  fooregulator: Setting 2250000-2250000uV
  fooregulator: 2250 mV

Dmitry Osipenko a467624aef regulator: core: Fix slab-out-of-bounds in regulator_unlock_recursive()
commit 0a7416f947 upstream.

The recent commit 7d8196641e ("regulator: Remove pointer table
overallocation") changed the size of coupled_rdevs and now KASAN is able
to detect slab-out-of-bounds problem in regulator_unlock_recursive(),
which is a legit problem caused by a typo in the code. The recursive
unlock function uses n_coupled value of a parent regulator for unlocking
supply regulator, while supply's n_coupled should be used. In practice
problem may only affect platforms that use coupled regulators.

The memory leak problem was introduced as a side ef another fix in
regulator_register() error path, I believe that the proper fix is
to decouple device_register() function into its two compounds and
initialize a struct device before assigning any values to its fields
and then using it before actual registration of a device happens.

This lets to call put_device() safely after initialization, and, since
now a release callback is called, kfree(rdev->constraints) shall be
removed to exclude a double free condition.

Enric Balletbo i Serra 337c7b95e1 regulator: vctrl-regulator: Avoid deadlock getting and setting the voltage
[ Upstream commit e915331149 ]

`cat /sys/kernel/debug/regulator/regulator_summary` ends on a deadlock
when you have a voltage controlled regulator (vctrl).

The problem is that the vctrl_get_voltage() and vctrl_set_voltage() calls the
regulator_get_voltage() and regulator_set_voltage() and that will try to lock
again the dependent regulators (the regulator supplying the control voltage).

Fix the issue by exporting the unlocked version of the regulator_get_voltage()
and regulator_set_voltage() API so drivers that need it, like the voltage
controlled regulator driver can use it.

Miquel Raynal 12ba455b1d regulator: rk808: Lower log level on optional GPIOs being not available
[ Upstream commit b8a039d377 ]

RK808 can leverage a couple of GPIOs to tweak the ramp rate during DVS
(Dynamic Voltage Scaling). These GPIOs are entirely optional but a
dev_warn() appeared when cleaning this driver to use a more up-to-date
gpiod API. At least reduce the log level to 'info' as it is totally
fine to not populate these GPIO on a hardware design.

This change is trivial but it is worth not polluting the logs during
bringup phase by having real warnings and errors sorted out
correctly.

Wen Yang 91a0261630 regulator: core: fix regulator_register() error paths to properly release rdev
[ Upstream commit a3cde9534e ]

There are several issues with the error handling code of
the regulator_register() function:
        ret = device_register(&rdev->dev);
        if (ret != 0) {
                put_device(&rdev->dev); --> rdev released
                goto unset_supplies;
        }
...
unset_supplies:
...
        unset_regulator_supplies(rdev); --> use-after-free
...
clean:
        if (dangling_of_gpiod)
                gpiod_put(config->ena_gpiod);
        kfree(rdev);                     --> double free

We add a variable to record the failure of device_register() and
move put_device() down a bit to avoid the above issues.

Wen Yang 8d333a5d26 regulator: fix use after free issue
[ Upstream commit 4affd79a12 ]

This is caused by dereferencing 'rdev' after put_device() in
the _regulator_get()/_regulator_put() functions.
This patch just moves the put_device() down a bit to avoid the
issue.

Stephan Gerhold 56eb000be1 regulator: ab8500: Remove AB8505 USB regulator
commit 99c4f70df3 upstream.

The USB regulator was removed for AB8500 in
commit 41a06aa738 ("regulator: ab8500: Remove USB regulator").
It was then added for AB8505 in
commit 547f384f33 ("regulator: ab8500: add support for ab8505").

However, there was never an entry added for it in
ab8505_regulator_match. This causes all regulators after it
to be initialized with the wrong device tree data, eventually
leading to an out-of-bounds array read.

Given that it is not used anywhere in the kernel, it seems
likely that similar arguments against supporting it exist for
AB8505 (it is controlled by hardware).

Therefore, simply remove it like for AB8500 instead of adding
an entry in ab8505_regulator_match.

Axel Lin 39add62278 regulator: bd70528: Remove .set_ramp_delay for bd70528_ldo_ops
commit 6f1ff76154 upstream.

The .set_ramp_delay should be for bd70528_buck_ops only.
Setting .set_ramp_delay for for bd70528_ldo_ops causes problem because
BD70528_MASK_BUCK_RAMP (0x10) overlaps with BD70528_MASK_LDO_VOLT (0x1f).
So setting ramp_delay for LDOs may change the voltage output, fix it.
